Well, my experience with Rizzoli has been very different so far...
I placed 2 orders, one from the initial signed stock and another one as a backup when they restocked. I received no confirmation for either order, and when I contacted them they answered after a couple of days to ask for my order numbers - precisely what I did not have.
They have ignored my messages since then. After being sold an expensive Dolly Parton autopen by Rizzoli I am really starting to wonder about their honesty. I paid with Paypal this time and will have to claim my money back if they keep ignoring me, but what a bad experience.
Hey Dan, are you in the UK? I would give it a bit more time. Here in the US, people are still just receiving their orders from the 1st stock. I never received an email directly from them. The tracking email was sent directly from FedEx. Its the only way I knew they acknowledged my order at all. Double check your spam folder. Im wondering if maybe they used a different carrier to ship to the UK and its why you haven't received any notice at all? Rizzoli needs to get its act together. You are lucky you received a response at all.. They never responded to my questions.. Since people are in fact receiving their orders though, id give it another week or so.. my gut tells me you will receive your orders in the end. And since you ordered from both batches, you might end up with both a signed page and a signed bookplate. Ill stay optimistic for you but I know how you are feeling for sure.. its very frustrating
I Just called Rizollis and they are still waiting on the signed bookplates from Peter and Anna. They checked my order number and my order is good. They are expecting the bookplates any day now.
Thats interesting. Since I was probably the 1st to order from the restock, they must have had extra bookplates from the 1st batch.. seems strange though.. the 1st batch had a mix of signed pages and signed bookplates? And now they are waiting on even more bookplates?..
did everyone get orders form this bookshop? im waiting and waiting and i didnt get an info about shipping my order... i see your pics of signed books but i didnt get information what about my order...
i send email to rizzolli twice and they didnt get me an answer...
i dont belive they dont have 2 miutes to do this...
Lucas, I would call the store directly at this point and inquire. It seemed strange when the 1st release had a mix of signed books and bookplates. When I ordered from the second restock, it shipped right away and I received them before the supposed 11-1 restock. I suspect they sold out of all bookplate options and won't be getting any more. Its just a gut feeling though. Since they absolutely refuse to answer emails, its best to call, or even show up in person if possible. I hope I'm wrong and there was just a delay receiving another batch of bookplates.
I live in the middle of EU :P so i cant go there...
I could try and give them a call for you but my order is complete and I'm sure they would ask for more information about your specific order to check the status. I wouldn't suggest giving your info to me or anyone to call on your behalf. It would be best if you could try to find a way to call. Maybe someone with the same dilemma here in the US can chime in with more info.
