Harold and Maude 1971 Signed Studio Still and Unsigned Photo by Jack Gereghty

Hi all, here are two stills by Jack Geredhty from this cult classic sub-collection::

An original still from 1971 from the cult classic Harold and Maude signed by Ruth Gordon. Following is a vintage still showing Harold considering shooting his mother. IIRC, first he aims at himself and as she is filling out HIS dating computer card he aims at his mother, and then himself again. As he is fond of fake suicides , he blows his brain out. But not really, just for his mothers benefit. Harold didn't think "benefit" was the right word. But then came Maude, Dame Marjorie Chardin. "I thought I'd marry a soldier, Frederick would later chide me about it,. But that was before...".

Never saw another Maude item signed by Ruth Gordon. You?

And here is Harold and his mother:

I am a big Ruth Gordon fan.  ROSEMARY'S BABY is one of my collections.  I have a few of her including a really nice ALS.   I have never seen a HAROLD AND MAUD signed picture before.  She was a very good friend of Helen Hayes another great actress.  I have a check that Helen Hayes wrote to her fellow actor Guy Moneypenny.

My third grade teacher (yes, I was the second lead in "Close Encounters of the Third Grade"), used to see her quite often while grocery shopping on Martha's Vineyard where she lived for a portion of her year. Not tall, but an emotional powerhouse, as in the bit I quoted before. Once you see those numbers on her arm in that one second shot everything changes. I  also had a Rosemary's Baby collection but have since sold it in favor of this little gem.
