Hi guys.

I have a favor to ask. I am considering buying this book privately. I was wondering if I can get an opinion on this signed book U2 by U2. Is there any experts who can render an opinion on it. It seems okay to me  from looking at other examples but I realize that this is also a band that we would see forged.

Roger if you see this can you please give me your thoughts.

Thanks for your help.

This is a 7" vinyl. That was the most common thing back in 1992. (That tells you a little bit about how old I am!)
And you got it during Zoo TV.  How cool is that!
That was the first time I met U2. I have met them 3 more times after that. So I still have 2 CDs that I have all exept Bono on them... Isn't that weird?
Yeah, considering that Bono tends to be the easiest one!  At least it will be easier to complete the set.
beautiful examples Bjarne. Joshua Tree should easily bring between 2 and 3 grand USD if you ever decided to sell.

What do you guys think of this U2 signed photo. They claim it was signed outside a hotel and our UACC members.

Hi Mike.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll have to be patient and one will eventually turn up. I will have to take some photos of my two signed albums I bought when I first started collecting about 6 or 7 years ago. I hope they are okay, but it really does seem like a minefield when it comes to the modern music/rock category.

Regarding the UACC, there's a HUGE difference between just being a paid member which this individual is, and being a Registered Dealer.  The RD program requires members to have been a UACC regular member for years, be vetted in, and each RD is required to abide by a Code of Ethics.  The RD program is completely contrary to what Mike states about doing nothing about it.  If you visit the Registered Dealer page, there are now less than 300 in the world and the missing #s are from those who have been kicked out or in some cases immediately stepped down due to impending removal.  This past Pen & Quill (UACC Magazine) stated 2 more dealers who have been removed.  I admit, having anything done in a volunteer non-profit organization always takes too long as is the case with how long some of these dealers lasted before removal, but I have yet to find a more reputable organization in this industry.  Aftal started off strong but even their website has news that's years old and not updated.  Bottom line, if a UACC Registered Dealer sells you a forged autograph and you want a refund and they don't give it, you can easily have them removed from the Registered Dealer Program.  It's in my opinion the most reliable way to buy an autograph.

Yes, what everyone else said - it's not worth $5 let alone $400.  Those signatures aren't close in any era.

I did see what appeared to be an authentic signed U2 by U2 book the other day.  It was personalized (as is most common), and I the seller wanted $725 or so.  I don't believe it sold.

Sorry will repost.

Can you guys please give me an opinion on these two signed U2 albums.
