Hello everybody,

I'm not sure what to think about this Hedy Lamarr.

What's your opinion?

Thanks for taking the time!

KaiMi -. What kind of pen has been used on this photo?  Can't tell if it's felt tip or something else.

Could be fountain pen or possibly a preprint which is why it looks more solid.

Etienne - sorry, but I can't say. Just saw it on the net and was thinking about buying it, but I don't have it for a closer look.

I took a second look at this.  I'd say this is precisely drawn by someone besides Hedy.

Yes, that's what I thought, too. Looks very slowly written, almost painted.

They may have used this as a template

Agreed, it looks like a forgery by a talented artist. Just a little too precisely drawn as Etienne said, making the flow seem stilted. Caveat emptor, a lot of fake Hedys online. I've attached a pic of the JSA Hedy from my personal collection that I just sold.

Very interesting input, Mikex and meggs! Thanks to you both!

What a pity, meggs, that your piece is already sold ...!

This is a Hedy I bought several weeks ago. Do you think it's legit?

It has some positive characteristics, my uneducated lean would be good.

I'm sorry to say...to be safe....I'd vote "no" on this one as well.  She seems to have had a less precise, faster signature.  This one looks very well thought out and slow, to me at least.

This is a late signature from the 80s, when she was beginning to become blind. That might explain the size and why it's quite slowly written.
