I can't bring myself to purchase an autograph of someone I don't care for. I know it's shallow, but unless I admire the person or hold them in high esteem for whatever reason.
I had a Hitler signed photo for years but finally had to sell it because I didn't have the nerve to bring it to a framer to have framed or display it. Besides, I thought it had negative energy.

I don’t understand why anyone would want a signature of someone they weren’t a fan of. Do people just accumulate signatures?
Interesting.
Rarity, thrill of the chase, monetary value, etc. Of course it all varies my individual. Seems like many are happy to have signed things from people they aren't a big fan of. People they despise, however, might be a different story.
Interesting topic. I had two OJ Simpson autographs. I gave the signed photo to a friend who loves the Buffalo Bills.
I still have an autographed Bill Cosby album, but basically ANYBODY that buys an autograph of someone they hate...is kind of stuipid. That doesn't mean if I saw someone selling a Hitler autograph, and it was real, and they sold it to me for $5 I wouldn't buy it (just because it makes smart sense financially). It doesn't mean I wouldn't get a Rosemary's Baby movie poster signed by Roman Polanski if I was going to meet him. But to purchase!!?? Never.
And to frame and display, absolutely not.
I have Bill Cosby as well and am sure a lot of people still do. Regardless of what he has done,, you cant deny his place in pop culture. History can not be changed. I dont think owning an autograph means you are accepting of all his actions. Thats a good point though, would I display our Cosby autograph? As an interesting item just temporarily during a Cosby movie or TV show marathon? Lol. Probably still not, but I see pros and cons to owning items like these. They are a piece of history that you cant just sweep under the rug and forget about. Cosby was a part of my childhood for a while and I do have a few fond memories of being entertained by him. Should learning about his life off screen change all that? This is something to think about. I have no desire to get rid of them yet since I never really gave it much thought until now, but its also not something I would openly brag about owning.
I just had a quick look, approx 35 signed Bill Cosby items have been purchased on ebay over the last 3 months.. they are not selling for much, but people are still buying them.
