NEWLY SURFACED LENNON SIGNED IMAGINE ALBUM???

What's your opinions on this Lennon autographed IMAGINE album from WFIL?

I believe it's AUTHENTIC. That would make it one only 12? Known to exist. I used to own one and sold it at GOTTAHAVEROCKANDROLL auctions. This has probably one of the best placed signatures I've seen on an IMAGINE album. It also has the doodle and the year, which is rare for WFIL. I only know of a few others with the doodle.

I feel it is very similar to this WFIL signed TWO VIRGINS.

Pictured is another from WFIL with the doodle and year which looks like it reads 78 but its 75.

Also pictured is a 1975 test press album inner sleeve signed by John. Pretty similar doodle and date formations.

I like the fact it has the doodle and year which is SPOT ON to my eyes. It gives more forensics for you to look at other than an autograph which can be practiced over and over.

Is the dip in the 7's horizontal top stroke one of the things that concern you? There's one in the 7 of 79 on this postcard that WFIL Man said he sold on May 23 for $5,000:

The 7s in the date notation lower left have a bit of a dip too.

This one is different all together. This one I consigned for John Kirkpatrick. The guy who got it in person. I've been aware of it for 6-7 years.

Thanks, Steve. It seems to have a slowly and deliberately drawn appearance about it. The ‘75’ looks really odd.

You said it was "Acquired in person on Friday May 16, 1975."  How do you know that?

Did she say she got it herself? Do you normally take someone's word for it without saying something like the owner says it was acquired in person on Friday May 16, 1975?

No i take everything one bit at a time. She said ahe acquired it on friday which was tge first day. No flyer or photos so now you havevto takevthecscan and examine using whst i know aboutvjohns atypical tendencies when signing during the event. She asked for which are diverse. She asked for my opiniin which i gave. I also got confirmation that the album is NOT for sale.

I asked everything I knew to ask. Did you have the pink flyer? She didn't know what is was. Any photos? No. So we have no choice but to rely on the forensics, which I looked at. I see atypical tendencies which are consistent with my visual memory basing off of the examples from this event I am aware of and the doodle and date on top of it, which ive dound forgers have a very hsrd time reproducing (SoCal, NYCACAM) She asked for my opinion as she wanted a record of it to have. I gave her my opinion on the piece.
