Ah, I thought this was an onsite signing as opposed to the occasional remote one (i.e. Lauren Spencer Smith). The fact that she couldn't be bothered even though she was actually there probably raises some legit questions though.

I just got a cancellation e mail and refund stating that some of the personally signed cds of hers werent signed including mine so cant be sent hmm, i dont know they are usually straight up shame though i thought i had a nice message from Rita on the way ,she was late for the signing in Leeds by over an hour and a half and signed so quickly to get away to her next there were no messages or personalised at all so one from banquet was a good option

Sorry to hear that - that happened to me with their recent Sophie signing (well maybe a lucky escape if they do turn out to be not legit). Banquet are always really transparent to be fair to them

My copy is a little bit sloppy too… she didn’t even write my message… I contacted them and they told me she was “late for another appointment” and she signed many of them without the personalised autograph -_-

Seems shes late quite a lot

It was the first time that something like that happened with me from them. In the past every autograph arrived just like I ordered them. And I was upset since I’m a huge Sophie fan and I got just her signature just like the copy that I bought from her official website :/

Just got a cancellation email too. But that signature isn’t similar to the ones I already have. The whole situation seems a little bit suspicious

Well, that second part sounds like a load of crap given Banquet's overall reputation. Are they implying that someone at Banquet signed them?

If their point of comparison is the HMV signing, then no they look nothing like that. Bust some past examples of her signature decidedly much more full. That being said, I haven't exactly done a deep dive into this.

yeah from what it sounds like they are implying that the boxes of CDs and vinyl showed up and then signed and brought back out by staff or someone in the back around an hour before Rita even arrived, I'm not sure how it works but if she is supposed to sign in person for a store signing then that is sketchy, if not then I guess it's possible she could have had them pre-signed as Banquet is claiming

It's rare for a signing not to be on site with them, but it occasionally happens. Lauren Spencer Smith wasn't even in the UK and ended up doing art cards for the sake of logistics. But hers at least look legit, consistent with the handwriting and signatures she's been doing for other signings.

This outcome was never unexpected.... surely.....

Well I'm glad I didn't get the personally signed option! Is the Newbury option safe? or are we unsure yet cause no one has gotten one yet.  OR even from here:
https://www.merchbar.com/r-b-hiphop-rap/rita-ora/rita-ora-cd-inc-si...

Also, i noticed Newbury says Art card and merch bar says print, do we know if they are both standard art cards and just used different wording or is the "Print" the A4 images past users have shared on this thread.
