YMMV means "your mileage may vary". I was trying to give advice aimed at helping you avoid buying low quality or forged material. Buying solely on the opinions of others is a perfect recipe for disaster. That "DeNiro" is why I wrote what I did. You say you are willing to learn but don't take well to advice? I simply stated my own observations.

I appreciate that. Just saying, not everyone is as skilled in today's technology as others. I still don't know how to open one window against the next to compare stuff, so when someone like Eddy provides a link to a group or study with exemplars, it is super valuable to a dude like me...........

It is much easier to open multiple images in a Photo program for visual comparison. Judging authenticity is a lot more than looking at a few exemplars. It takes years and looking at thousands of autographs to be really adept at just a few signers IMO.

It's a very tricky and detail oriented hobby. One can buy an autograph with "the right papers", (if you believe in them) and still have purchased a secretarial.

Thank you? I am way too old and busy to get into the mud investigating autographs. I probably have a couple thousand items, all with TPA's and deemed authentic for resale to supplement my retirement income. I do not have the time to invest the time you are talking about, but admire your tenacity. Thanks for all your input........

Quite honestly, I don't know if I missed something, but did you give me your opinion on the Depp? Thanks again!

Me? No. I don't know his signature.

I will say that this Depp seller is the seller of the Ford and the DeNiro forgeries - I would just move on. Avoid drinking from dirty wells IMO. See his Pacino.

You're welcome.

It is just that so many don't realize that things change and knowledge is the only protection. If you have a PSA Gleason from the early 2000's it is most likely fake. The same is true for other celebrities when new information finally comes out. Speaking for myself, if I don't have the time for research, I definitely don't have the money. As with any other business or investment.

I am reminded in a way of all the coin collectors who stored their retirement investments in PVC holders and opened up the deposit box to find a bunch of worthless slime covered coins. Just because they didn't read an article about PVC. The knowledge would have prevented the entire scenario.

PS - 64 is not old. I am 54; we are accumulating wisdom, as well as years ;)

Thanks. Bty, I didn't say 64 was old, just too old for me to spend time learning a new vocation. I love the hobby, but once it becomes too much work and is no longer fun, it is no longer fun! Am I right? Thanks again!

I read wrong then - I apologize. Maybe I am getting old!

Robby93 -
