1930's secretarial or a forgery of one. Fancy.

Thanks for your opinion Eric!  I do appreciate it!  Patrick.

Fancy fake huh?  Those dirty rascals!

Not really, you asked "fact or fancy" so I said "fancy".

I was left a bit confused with the reply "Fancy" also.

Patrick asked:  "Bette Davis Signature, Fact or Fantasy?"

Well, the important thing is the exemplars have been shown and the question answered. I tried to correct my error and still messed up! FANTASY!

Secretarial

Thanks for your opinion Mikex!  I do appreciate it!  Patrick.

I'm afraid that, in this case, these aren't just "opinions".  It's an indisputable fact that this is not Bette's autograph.

p.s.  I just remembered that you had a Davis signed photo that some of us commented on a few months ago.  Just compare that one with this and it's readily apparent that these are two different hands signing them.

Thanks for the input Eddy.  I have a bunch of Bette Davis autographs.  This one doesn't look like any of the others. I bought this thing about 3 years ago.  I Googled Bette Davis exemplars.  I saw a couple of supposed Bette Davis signatures that were similar to this one.  Also, I have learned that people's signatures do change somewhat over time.  I was hoping I'd get lucky on this one. No such luck!  That's why I sought your help.

Once again, I appreciate your input!

No problem....that's why we can all learn from one another!
