Someone paid for this "authentication"....

It is also only a few days old...

“Ever Get the Feeling You've Been Cheated?” - Johnny Rotten, January 14th, 1979.

This "authentication" was $75!!!

This is a current and very good example of why relentless self education is a necessity. Even a cursory understanding of Gleason's autograph would immediately eliminate this as a horrendous, unstudied and obvious forgery of a non-extant style.

THIS is Gleason:

It’s unfortunate, but at least it’s only one signature. The Beatles Joe Long set was four. All that was required was recognizing one of those as being a Long forgery. The authentication was $500.

Indeed - 1 of 4 and they missed all. $500!

The Gleason's above start in 1936 and end in 1954. Later dates coming...

In the meantime, look at this PSA certified forgery sold by a highly respected vintage dealer who knows better because I told him and showed the trackable history of this poor forgery from when it first appears on eBay and then here...my opinion can be removed. It is a forgery.

Here are 1962-1977. The 1962 Ektachrome 16x20 golf portrait is the only color SP I have ever seen - I found it, authenticated it and sold it. Shown last in the ONLY authentic signed "bus photo" I have ever seen.
