Is this yours? That's certainly Brando's autograph on the back! Got a better shot of the front?

This is one of the rare times that I'd consider having the front restored (with restraint)—strictly by a top-notch professional.

Yes, it is part of my small collection of autographs. I bought it from a man who went to an estate sale. The person who obtained the autograph originally was a cameraman out in Hollywood. He was working on the picture 'Teahouse of the August Moon' and he became close to Marlon Brando. The picture itself looks like the type that a professional photographer would pull out of one of those old box cameras on a tripod. I think that he took this pic and asked Mr. Brando if he would sign it for him. Brando tried to sign the front but it was glossy and wasn't coming out right, so he flipped it over and signed it along with writing the title of the movie that they were both working on.

OK, so it sounds like it isn't faded. The darkness is from the photo you took?

It's one of the nicest Brando pieces I've seen. You did well.

I second that. Very nice piece!

Third! Awesome item. Unique signed candid, which I love and collect myself.

Thank you, too!

And thank you!

Well, thank you very much. That means something coming from a man who has been in the autograph business for years.

Here is another shot of the front. If you zoom in on the autograph, you can see the indentation the pen made.

That would not bother me - many of my signed candids, especially those in fountain, have this or signatures started twice etc. for the same reason. One has two ink colors as the pen ran out. The beauty is the unique and unpublished nature of the image. That is the value from my experience. I'd watermark the image so that it can't be swiped because if that were mine I'd find an author and lease the image which would then pay for itself. I have done this many times with images in my collections.

Thanks, Joseph. Yes, this is great. Sometime, if you feel like it, I'd love to see it out of the frame. Just a really, really cool piece!
