He had that very sincere and convincing face.

RICHARD VATH (1925-2005) is best known for the Sci-Fi movie Creation of the Humanoids in 1962.  He also had a part in the classic When Worlds Collide in 1951.  The following year he had a role in the Cold War thriller Red Snow.  His television work included five episodes of the western Death Valley Days, including starring in the season seven episode "The Newspaper That Went to Jail" in 1959.  His 35-year acting career included television shows like Sky King, Ben Casey, Highway Patrol, Navy Log, Harbor Command, Hunter and The Scarecrow, and Mrs. King.  Vath also appeared in a 1965 episode of the classic comedy Bewitched.   His appearance on The Andy Griffith Show occurred in season two.  Playing the beleaguered attorney for an insufferable Mr. Jackson played by the great Roy Roberts.   Vath's career as one of those stalwart supporting players meant few autograph hounds tried very hard to seek him out.   John Verzi was one of those, and this one was from an equally determined New York in-person collector.

ROY JENSON (1927-2007)  was a prolific actor and stuntman appearing on scores of television shows and movies.  Jenson was one of those faces you recognized but did not know the name of.  He often played a policeman or authority figure.  Jenson was in shows such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Wild, Wild West, The Outer Limits, Batman, Little House on the Prarie, and many more.  He was in movies such as Chinatown, Soylent Green, 13 Ghosts, Apache Uprising, and several others.  He played State Trooper Leroy Miller in the 1967 TAGS episode "Andy's Investment."  This is a Star Trek Original Series A57 autograph card from when he played "Cloud William."  These are great but are getting expensive.

TOM D'ANDREA (1909-1998) was one of those familiar faces on almost every show. He appeared on The Addams Family, The Danny Thomas Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, That Girl, and Green Acres. D'Andrea is probably best remembered for his recurring role as "Jim Gillis" in the William Bendix comedy television show The Life of Riley. He also was active in movies such as Humoresque, Dark Passage, and Kill the Umpire (with William Bendix). He was in the TAGS episode "A Singer in Town" as George Stone.   This is a 4x6" white index card from the John Verzi in-person collection.

TOM D'ANDREA perhaps best known as William Bendix's sidekick on The Life of Riley.

RHYS WILLIAMS (1897-1969) is best known for his first role as fighter Dai Bando in How Green Was My Valley in 1941. He went on to star in such films as Mrs. Miniver, The Bells of St. Mary's, The Son of Dr. Jekyll, The Sons of Katie Elder and Carbine Williams. Williams appeared in scores of television westerns on The Rifleman, Bonanza, Bat Masterson, Tales of the Wells Fargo and Maverick. He also appeared in an episode of The Adventures of Superman. Williams had played Frances Bavier's husband in the 1953 Jack the Ripper thriller entitled The Man in the Attic with Jack Palance.    He reunited with Frances Bavier playing Mayberry's presiding judge in The Andy Griffith Show episode entitled "Aunt Bee, the Juror."   His autograph is uncommon this is from an old well-known collector.

JACKIE JOSEPH (1933-       ) appeared on the TAGS episode as Ramona Ankrum the love interest of Ernest T. Bass in the episode "My Fair Ernest T. Bass."   Jackie began her career in small roles in movies and television in the late 1950s.  She had a starring role along with Jonathan Haze in the horror/comedy Little Shop of Horrors (1960).   Jackie Joseph was a regular on The Doris Day Show.  She did four episodes of Gomer Pyle: USMC and three of The Dick Van Dyke Show. Joseph appeared in many television shows such as The Danny Kaye Show, The Danny Thomas Show, Hogan's Heroes, That Girl, Petticoat Junction, The Brady Bunch, Barnaby Jones and many others.   In movies she was in Who's Minding the Mint?, With Six You Get Eggroll and The Cheyenne Social Club.   Her first husband, was Ken Berry and she appeared in one episode of his show F-Troop.   She is one of the TAGS stars that I was fortunate enough to meet.  She was a lovely lady and could not have been nicer.   This is an older autograph in blue ballpoint from Autograph World Auction.

BETTY KEAN (1914-1986) was the sister of Jane Kean from the Honeymooners color episodes and former wife of Jim Backus.  Kean was in the movies Murder in the Blue Room (1945) and Dreamscape (1984).  Her television appearences included The Bob Newhart Show, Happy Days, Police Woman and The Love Boat.  She played "Ma Parker" who was Barney Fife's landlady in The Andy Griffith Show episode "A Visit to Barney Fife" (1967).  Betty Kean as "Ma Parker" front left and below a John Verzi in-person card.

BEVERLY TYLER (1927-2005) worked primarily in B-pictures such as Voodoo Island (1957), The Fireball (1950) and many westerns.  She appeared on television in shows like Bonanza, Death Valley Days, Tales of the Wells Fargo, and Hazel.  She appeared in one episode of The Andy Griffith Show entitled "Barney on the Rebound."  She and Jackie Coogan co-star in the episode.  This is a John Verzi in-person card from 1988.

ALMIRA SESSIONS (1888-1974) was among the league of character actresses that graced both the big and small screens in a career that lasted from the early 1930s until her death.  She appeared in The Bishops Wife (1947) and The Fountain Head (1949) among many others.  On television she was often cast as an aunt or neighbor.  She appeared in episodes of The Munsters, The Adventures of Superman, The Affairs of Dobie Gillis and many more.  Late in her career she got cast into horror or thrillers such as The Boston Strangler, Rosemary's Baby, Willard and an episode of Night Gallery.   Sessions played "Mrs. Fletcher" in the last episode of The Andy Griffith Show.  Her autograph is not commonly seen this is from the Lee Gold in-person collection purchased from Autograph World Auctions a few years ago.
