My order just got cancelled!!! Anyone just get an email?

How many did you order? I just called them about it. I ordered 2, and then decided to order 2 more for gifts (i work in IT and this is a big deal for me and some coworkers). Apparently there was an unannounced limit of 3. So anything over that was completely cancelled! So bummed about this...

There was a limit of 10.

She told me it was 3, and that is not listed anywhere on the site. I know it let you pick a number as high as 10 to add to cart but she told me anything over 3 would get auto cancelled from their "verification" system.

Don't feel too bad. I was the first person to see they went live and I didn't even get one after the cancellation. So you may have been screwed anyways. But hopefully if these orders are still getting cancelled the stock goes back. Or maybe BAM gets them?

Just got off the phone with Barnes & Noble and the lady had no idea why the order was cancelled. She  said the book is sold out but offered me a coupon or stamps.

Did you order multiples?  Sometimes there is an unposted limit. If you exceed it  you get cancelled.  For instance, I was advised that the title listed as Untitled (MOST) on their website has an unposted limit of 3.  I'm guessing they think it'll be high demand once announced. Whatever it is.

My new practice is if ordering multiples is first  order 2. Then order 1. Then if I want more, try a third order. Those exceeding any unposted limit get cancelled. automatically by their system. But the first order or 2 stay active.

I ordered 2 and then another 2. Both got cancelled. When I called in she said 3 was the limit, and said she had now "unlocked" my account for that book so if they go back in stock i should be able to successfully reorder one. I'm going to be really bummed if I have to ebay one of these.
