Key red flag '"Forensically Authenticated" . One of the biggest scams in the business, and this doesnt look authentic at all. Retract if you can.
Thanks Steve. Found out the hard way.
Elvis is a strong suit of mine. Definitely not authentic. Also, if you see handwritten lyrics authenticated by Memphis Mafia member Lamar Fike on his letterhead, he was working with Dutch forger Hans Bakker in the early 2000s. Steer Clear.
Elvis just didn’t typically write out much at all. A short inscription usually was about as much as he offered. Often misspelled “always” as “allways”. Usually a “love ya” in the early days and a “from” to the gents. 50s are plentiful, 60s are a bit more tough, 70s probably hardest as he’s most isolated and most protected
Thanks Doug. He is another autograph I want in my collection. I will be more diligent in the future.
There are some other Elvis folks here as well. I also comment from time to time when I can. It is a good idea to post potential purchases here for review/opinions, or send them via PM to trusted individuals should you not wish to post publicly. It is also a very good idea to run the name of any potential source or auction house through the Search Engine here. Try searching for "Dalshire" and you will see what I mean instantly.
With Elvis, look for COAs from Roger Epperson (Real!) he’s the very best on Elvis.
no chance on this one. very shaky
