Authentic IMO

It's at RR Auction now closing on 9/20. $12,000 estimate.

Thanks to you both for your opinions. I was suspicious because there are recent writings. "Aime" de -M- seems to refer to a French song issued in 1999 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hV-UnrC9tU&list=RD6hV-UnrC9tU&...).

I wonder who would have added this mention to a nice signed LP sleeve (signed in my hometown).

Good catch. I’ve had this one in my exemplar file for quite some time. The image I have doesn’t have that writing, most of the first word in the upper left corner, and the Hallyday signature.

It does say in the auction description that Hallyday signed in 2011.

That's very interesting.

I searched and found explanations on a French forum dedicated to Hallyday: https://johnnyhallydayleweb.forumpro.fr/t6925p25-le-1er-autographe-...

The guy who first authenticated the signatures at the request of the owner explains  that the sleeve was signed by Hallyday during a famous French TV Show where -M- was also attending and he added the mention without understanding what he was writting on (because members of the forum spotted this addition and criticized it, as it had nothing to do on such a piece).

Thanks for the link. It shows the article with the story about the owner finally getting Hallyday’s signature after 45 years. I’ve never heard of “M”, but he signed an EP that’s older than him.

Indeed! Thanks again for your expertise and answers. This is always very much appreciated.
