These are just mass produced poor forgeries. I looked at the seller's other items - several things I saw that I know and none were good. The amount of material and the names...no authentication for things like Michael Jackson and no returns...and framed. The Jackson and the Shatner/Nimoy are awful. Never buy anything framed unless you like surprises. Sorry to hear bed news. Best to ask before buying.
The McCartney is really bad. If you bought them why are they still listed for sale?
So how can I go about getting my money back? I’m not sure why it’s still on the site. If it’s fake maybe can just make another?
They could be reprints. Those are often sold framed, for the obvious reason. In any event, perhaps a "Not as Described" claim or some such? Other folks here will know more about that end of things. They will ask if you paid with a CC or? That brings additional protections I think, Can you cancel? I guess not.
Unfortunately I cannot cancel because it’s already hanging on my wall :(. That shop has been around for 32 years and it feels crazy that they been around for that long with a fraudulent business. I got it through my business partner, who knows the owner well and I paid cash unfortunately. It’s also weird because they have sold 2.7k items on eBay but have no negative reviews, surely by now someone has had doubts and check for their own due diligence and left a bad review. I’m really upset because oasis are my favourite musicians and I’m going to the concert in a couple weeks :(
I am sorry this happened to you. "...It’s also weird because they have sold 2.7k items on eBay but have no negative reviews, ..." not uncommon with forgers. Just about no one checks on the authenticity of anything in any arena - especially it seems for whatever reason with these framed COA'd things. Just this framing, plastic wrapping and mage is enough to identify these people. See what avenues of return there are. Otherwise, take it out back and shoot it.
It’s my own fault because I always check first and this time I didn’t, I rushed.. I almost bought a Ronaldinho signed jersey earlier this year that was Beckett authenticated but turned out to be fake. You can never be too sure anymore in this day and age unfortunately and this time I am down $1000 :(
Not my area but look into recourse.
I mean the recourse bit - the autographs are forgeries.
