This is just one of many fakes this seller has listed on eBay.
Note the inscription, “eat sh11t”. This is an attempt to recreate an inscription from a genuine and authentic item that a AL member, Jack, purchased from an Alain Ronay (good friend of Jim’s, one of only a few attendees at Jim funeral in Paris) collection. This item was inscribed by Jim, in relation to two then US presidential candidates. Jim showed his disdain to the two candidates by writing “eat Sh11t”.

So the item on eBay is a butchers attempt!. There are several ‘Morrison signed’ items offered with not one genuine one amongst them. Hopefully this discussion shines a light on these.

Hi Bruce. Alain auctioned off many items through Juliens some years back just before he passed. I purchased a concert poster but there were many nice items including airline tickets, and the note that I mentioned that my friend Jack purchased. There were also some records that Jim had inadvertently left at Alain’s house. If memory serves me, the full attendees at Jim’s funeral was Pam, Bill Siddons, Robyn Wertle (personal assistant who went underground until fairly recently when pictures of her and Pam post Jim, arose), Agnes Varda, and Alain. I believe those were the 5 attendees.
Thanks for the heads up regarding the postcard. Being so close to his demise, this will fetch a premium I would have thought

Chad, the whole catalogue of his/hers offerings are horrific. It is shameful that such garbage should be allowed to feature on eBay. The only thing of value are the picture frames!
