Michael Jackson Autograph

Hi everyone!

A few years ago, I purchased this BAD vinyl signed by Michael Jackson. The seller told me that his grandfather had bought it at a charity auction and that the record had originally been supplied by a dealer registered with the UACC (Universal Autograph Collectors Club). The vinyl also comes with a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) issued by Autograph Collection. The seller also told me that the record was signed during the 1997 HIStory World Tour. I would really appreciate your opinion regarding the authenticity of the autograph.

Several red flags -- the UACC had many shady dealers who sold tons of forgeries. Myron Ross was a member for many years. "Autograph Collection" COAs are not known in the community or have any value. Charity Auctions have been known to be a dumping ground for forgeries for many years.. So this one is doubtful.

I have attached a portion of the certificate where the name of the person who issued the certification is visible. Is this person among those sellers who are generally considered unreliable?

Also, based on your experience, does the signature on the vinyl appear to be at all consistent with other Michael Jackson signatures from that same period?

If this is his website: www.autographcollection.com, it's now a hotel site. If this is it: www.autographcollection.co.uk the site is closed. The MJ Bad album doesn't look quite right to me -- but you can always get a quick opinion from Roger Epperson or Steve Grad (formerly of Beckett and PSA).
