I'm sure the other artists they couldn't identify was Hendrix, Lennon, maybe SR Vaughan. Call your credit card and dispute. Very sorry Gary.

LOL!!!  Needed that laugh.  I paid $2200.00 for the pair ($1800 Guitar & $40 for the pic) including all fees.  Would love to find others tht bought from Easton Auctions as well.

That just really sucks, Gary.

Gary, I'm very hesitant to chime in on autograph authentication given the fact I believe it should take some serious effort and time to reach a verdict but in some cases, such as this, the signatures differ so vastly from known in person autographs that I can tell you that based on my own in-person experience and study of these signatures in my opinion these are not authentic.  I have met just about all these guys. These signatures in my opinion are definitely not authentic.  In my opinion they are all horrible attempts as well.  I can provide you with in-person signatures for your own reference to compare to if you like.  Let me know and i'll be happy to to do so.  I have videos of BB King, AC/DC, Tom Petty, Keith Richards, and Slash signing our guitars and other items so you can know the exemplars I have are authentic.  Well, that and I also had them all PSA/DNA authenticated.

Spoke with the "CEO" of Easton Auction "JIM".  Of course he was very defensive.  He position is that the items come from J.S. Sports and he is not responsible.  INCORRECT.  He is liable for the products that he moves through his auction service.

I told him I had two statements that the guitar was not at all authentic.  He asked me to forward them to him.  I did.

Here is the email:

Jim –

As you can see, it is clearly stated below that the items are not authentic.  I will expect my funds including all taxes, fees and so on charges, to be credited to my credit card immediately or have a check FEDEX’ed for Saturday delivery.

If I do not have  confirmation from you today, by 5pm EST that my funds will be returned I will be contacting the Secret Service and ask that and investigation be started into the hundreds, if not thousands of auction items you have sold.

As you can see above, I have spoken with my Attorney and she is being cc’d on this email.  As of today, I am also incurring legal costs, so the faster this gets done, the less expensive it will be for you.

Regards,

GARY

All but a small percentage of forgeries are easy to tell by an informed collector who studies up a bit, like people do on AM Live. These autographs are, unfortunately, obvious forgeries and were all signed in the same hand as well.

I recommend immediately filing reports with law enforcement. How was the guitar shipped to you, and what was the originating and destination city?

This is real bad. File a complaint asap. That is all you can do right now.

They are at it again.........Easton Auction Company and J.S. Sports Investments...........

I have contacted proxibid about the situation....I have spent over $10k with proxibid and never complained about anything until Easton Auction Company and they stated they can't control the action of auctioneers

Proxybid is filled with vendors with bad autographs unfortunately.

Spoke to the "CEO" at Easton Auction, Jim.  He takes the position that he is not responsible for forgeries.  Made him aware that he is liable for any product he sells via his auction.  Here is the emai:

TO ALL -

Got a phone call back from Jim (CEO) at Easton.  He called to let me know that HIS authentication company agrees that J.S. Sports has misrepresented the item at hand and has agreed to refund my total amount paid with fees.  Just got the credit on my account this morning.

ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS!

GARY
