FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR T.T.M. OR S.A.S.E. BASEBALL AUTOGRAPHS YOU HAVE RECEIVED PAST OR PERESENT

Hello Fans...I figured I would throw this out there for strictly baseball collectors who seek to get autographs through the mail the old fashion way...directly from the player...I have received probably over 100 autos but stopped maybe 4 or 5 years ago when I lost my contact list...but recently started it up again and since then received a few autos through the mail since the end of July...it is now currently (August 2011) so now I am hooked once again...please feel free to add pictures and comments about the autographs you received from BASEBALL PLAYERS with a simple envelope and stamp and not something you have received through the mail from a winning auction...

Feel free to include autos you got for free and also Players that sent back a request for money as that also happens from time to time or even if they wrote you back which is also an added bonus and a rare treat...

LET ME KNOW...

HAPPY COLLECTING !!!!

I only have a few TTM's, mostly because I only send baseballs and I haven't sent anything out in a couple of years.

I was lucky enough to get Ralph Houk and Duke Snider a few months before they passed away.

Here's the rest...

Those are so fresh Jason....I was able to get Houk as well back then...wish I tried for other names that where signing instead of just focusing on the Yankees...I wish I tried Snider...I never did...but have been lucky enough to get all of these other Yankee greats as well...still have never sent a ball...I am going to have to do that sooner or later....nice bro...thanks for sharing !!

I just recently found out that I was sending out baseballs in a much more difficult fashion than I needed to.

My process was to seal the ball in a zip lock bag, put it inside of a 200 count baseball card box with a blue bic and the letter folded over the top. I would then put the 200 count box inside of a battery box and ship. It's a solid process but the battery boxes are somewhat hard to come by.

Now I realized that I can do what people are doing with NFL mini-helmets and put the 200 count box, pen, letter and return postage in a SASE and just ship it out. It's got me itching to start sending stuff out again.

I've been pretty lucky that most of the guys that signed for me didn't charge me a thing with the exception of Don Larsen who charged $20. Bob Turley took longer than a month IIRC but with how accomodating he was with the inscirption it was well worth the wait.

Lots of guys I know have been sending them out in bubble mailers...like I said I have yet to try this but I will be doing this in the next few weeks...I have got to give it a shot...its a very common practice...I just still have yet to try it...

I caught the bug again. I Bought a bunch of supplies (12-11 1/2 by 8 and 12-6 by 9 bubble mailers, 7 OMLB baseballs, ziploc bags) and I got 5 baseballs mailed out in the last 2 days.

You'll love it Chris, it's well worth the time and effort.

nice!

taking almost the entire summer but totally worth the wait Aaron Boone....sent in JUNE

Congrats CEE GEE. Very nice!

Great card! great image!

This came in the mail yesterday...4 day turnaround!!

Bobby Doerr came back on 8-31-12 (7 day turnaround) and Ralph Terry came back on 9-4-12 (12 day turnaround) I'm a little disappointed with the Doerr as it was slightly smudged and the inscription appears half completed. He's 94 years old, so I guess it's to be expected.

However, I'm geeked about the Terry ball. I've heard that he's a real tough sign so I'm impressed with how quick the turnaround was and how nice the inscription is.
