I was wondering if we could compile a comprehensive thread of real Heath Ledger signatures. I know he's real tough because his signature had variations towards the end of his life. Please post any in person or confirmed authentic examples you've got, and share any traits we should be looking for when authenticating.

I'm afraid I have nothing to offer but my request. I can copy and paste stuff from AW or RR, but that'd be cheating!

The gold one looks like what a full clear signature of his looked like, but it looks too forced. Google images brings up a white page signed by him with those characteristics. The gold image is likely a forgery of that one.

Hey everyone, I joined this site because I found all of your posts extremely helpful in identifying fake/real Heath Signatures. I'm currently looking at 3 items, and I would really appreciate some of your opinions on whether they are legit.

The first is a Signed Joker Photo in the Jail Cell, with his hands on his legs. This has a COA from Field of Dreams. Seller asking $5000

The Second is a Fullsize "Why So Serious" Movie poster signed by the entire cast, including heath. Supposedly this came from the production company to the dealer, but no photo of COA that I've seen yet. Seller Asking $1000

The third is a Joker Jail Cell Photo with his hands clapping. Seller Asking $350

Clearly there is some variation in his signature from time of signing and whether he took his time or was rushed, and so hopefully one or more of these look legit.

Any and all help is much appreciated!

You've only posted one image, but that's an obvious forgery.

I would be very careful with any DK images/posters/etc. There aren't many and they are the most commonly forged images.

I have also seen similar joker on Craigslist .
It's seems to be many of them.
Wont let me post multiple images from my phone I guess, so ill make 3 posts. This is the one certifies by field of dreams asking $5000.

No good, IMO.

This is the seller's note on the $5000 item. He is CEO of Bonded Entertainment.

Let me be very clear. This is the most prized of all of our collectibles. We have a collection that easily clears $100k with movie, sports, memorabilia, etc. This was the piece we chose as our centerpiece.
When you walk up the stairs to our theater, this is the main display welcoming people into the theater. I will not state here how much we paid for it. What I will say is that it was significant, and the most expensive piece we own. We have had it for a few years and was purchased from one of the top retailers of Hollywood Collectibles in the world.

When we first saw this item, we couldn't believe it. We inquired as to how Heath Ledger possibly signed a photo when he died during production. It was explained that they actually had some press photos printed during production, and before he died, during production, he signed some. Prior to making this VERY expensive purchased, we called some industry friends, who spoke to others who were involved in this production, and it is in fact true that Heath signed VERY FEW during production. There are few others out there and quite a few counterfeits have been sold based on my research. The company that sold this to us would absolutely not sell an item that is not authentic, at the risk of a business that does tens of millions in retail revenue per year.

So, outside of having one of the FEW Heath Ledger as Joker signed photos in the world, this also is framed and matted with a signed poster from the premier... This poster is signed by Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, and Anthony Michael Hall. This is also matted with additional unit photos of Heath as the Joker.

This piece is amazing. People can't believe it when they see it. They are blown away. Just on the looks alone, this is stunning. Add the shear rarity and value and it's amazing. Now, when we purchased it, they made it clear that they believe this is the only piece in the world that someone went through the effort of having a Heath Ledger Joker signed poster matted with a cast signed poster. I have searched everywhere high and low and have not found anything like it. LET ME BE CLEAR ON THIS... IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED A HEATH LEDGER SIGNED "DARK KNIGHT" POSTER, YOU HAVE BEEN DUPED. No print advertising, namely the poster, had been near completed at the time of his death. This is as close as someone can get to having a signed poster.
Also photos of the other signatures as reference. Sorry for the low quality photo.

I'd avoid this one too.

Don't look at the story. Look at the signature.

Understood, just wanted to give some background info. Thanks so much for your help and quick response JXE. Appreciate your opinion.

Remember, it's just my opinion. Let's see what others think as well. I would also reccommend posting autographs without dealer names attached for opinions. That way, individual biases won't influence opinions.
