T8H - a good thread. Need to post the pict though as some EMR hoviers are quick on the draw as it's already removed and not viewable. Based on the constant bombardment of fake ones I (and most likely not the only one) drew an erroneous conclusion that the shop at home ones had no authentic ones sold.
DB, I feel stupid asking this, but how do you post the pic? do you just do a print screen? I have a mac and I haven't figured out how to do it yet!
the 2nd part of my original message;
Mike Frost provided some valuable insight for collectors when an HSN Shop At Home Mantle is on the market. Reply by Michael Frost yesterday Home Shopping Network defiantly had some authentic hand signed Mickey Mantle baseballs offered in 1988-1990. I secured the deal for many of these private signings and personally witnessed many of Mickey Mantle's private signings during the 80's & early 90's. The baseballs used for this signing would have been Rawlings OAL "Bobby Brown" Costa Rica balls.
Thanks,DB. I did a google search earlier this morning, and figured out the print screen on a mac. there is no specific key for it, as there is on a PC. I tried it and it worked! I will try to save just the pic, but I think I have tried that and failed, which I why I ended up just posting the link.
So macs can't do everything, lol! The problem that I have had about the screen print is that it also captures trademark and copyrighted information that don't belong to the "commentor". I had a running 'gunbattle" with wikpedia over the free usage and the outcome was a very valuable lesson. It's why in many of my picture posts these day I try and avoid any run-in with the reall "copyright police" although, as you've read I take some noise about freehand snapshots. Since the comment belongs to the person posting it doesn't matter what others claim - it's potential copyright or trademark infringement.
