Can somebody please tell me the reputations of Famous Ink and Gridiron Collectibles ? They both have a Wes Welker autographed Miami Dolphins mini helmet that I've been looking for, but I'm not familiar with either company. Thank you !

Yes, buy from Gridiron's website!  That looks like your safest bet.  Better to pay the extra money and know you got a real one.  No reason to play that shady game with Amazon.  I checked out Stadium Authentics' website and immediately spotted pure garbage for sale.

Thanks Richard, the site looked shady to me too. Although I can't tell a good sig from a bad one, I depend on a company's reputation, other people's input, and common sense so thank you all for your valuable input. I appreciate it !

gridiron uses ebay to sell some of there stuff and it is straight from them and not a third party(ebay not being a party ..lol) Ive bought some that way....good luck

Thanks John  : )

Do not trust Sean Morgan.  He is the President of Famous Ink.  He stole $97 from me.  He lost my personal items for 3 months.  Finally sent them back with out autographs.  Will not give me the money he owes me.  Not a good dealer from my experience.

Tom, I realize this is five months late, but I've had a positive experience with items from Famous Ink. I purchased two items that were from their private signings, and both items were passed as authentic by Steve Grad of PSA/DNA.

Thanks for the info Tom !

I recently bought a Joe Namath autographed mini helmet from Gridiron Authentics off of Ebay.

I sent it to JSA for authentication and the results were.. not even close.

Six different points of discrepancy were found and the auto was deemed to be a fake.

I think your Joe is good.  The first name is good, the last name looks off, but I have noticed Namath signing different depending on the size of the helmet.  He does adjust his signature and when rushed, it can look off.  Gridiron Authentics is legit.  They do private signings and have been in business for years without issue.  My discrepancy would be with JSA.  I have many absolutely perfect Namath signatures from sit down shows and many that look really odd from when I got him here in Phoenix during the Super Bowl.  Gridiron Authentics will exchange your helmet for you without any problems.  Give them the opportunity if you don't care for the signature.

My question is: Did you buy it from the Gridiron Authentics seller on Ebay, or a person who sold it to you said it was from Gridiron Authentics?

First it was bought on Ebay from Joe at Gridiron.

The Joe is good, Namath is off.. at least it looks half good.

What about the Willie? W-I-L-E  OOPS forgot the second L and the I :) and in person it looks alot more obvious thats its sketchy.

They will exchange it without problem? Why do I want to replace one fake with another?

They gave me nothing but problems returning it until PayPal became involved and after I left negative feedback. Joe did refund me my return shipping & all the fees associated with JSA but mainly in attempt to reverse my feedback.

They've been in business years without issue? Check their feedback & more importantly their revised feedback, where bad feedback was changed, is in the 60's.

Check their website, their next upcoming signing is June 2010!!

I sent you a request.

I just pulled out two of my helmets, one mini and one full size, that are both signed Joe Willie. Both of mine are identical to yours except that second L in Willie is higher on mine. The slant, and spacing are exactly the same. Both of my helmets are in person. If you will answer my message to you, I have a suggestion.
