Garry King is well liked by some but I see a big problem with some of the items I see on his site. I'm not referring to Kenny Baker and other small bits but rather the large $$ music items.
Dealers in the UK might not be aware of current music item that they offer for sale. In another thread several autographs from Autografica were deemed fake. The items were Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston and Harrison Ford.
He might not know there is a problem.

I agree Brandon, you did nothing wrong. Imagine a grown man being forbidden to defend himself by a 'club.' I go to shows and don't care if the dealers are a member of AFTAL or not. They could be a member of the French Foreign Legion as far as I'm concerned.
Steve, Brandon did not accuse anyone of "malicious behavior and criminal acts". As I understood it he was simply concerned that forged Michael Jackson autographs were unknowingly being used as exemplars. I am becoming more and more concerned that members of this website are being threatened into silence when they disagree with people who are not lowly collectors but are on the higher end of the autograph collecting pyramid.
Mike
thanks for those comments, I must add that I too feel that some members cannot state exactly how they feel for fear of recriminations from others.
I am very careful what I write because of something that happened to me in August regarding this debate
Vailid point mate
and therein lies the fundamental problem is this hobby gary. it almost forces one to take sides rather than discuss the issues as adults regardless where the chips may fall.
yes mate,
I could say a lot more but I was threatened and decided now to state the facts
you cannot be proscecuted for telling the truth... can you ? lol
DB, strange happenings today but from what I can gather the Jacksons in question are re apperaing for sale
mmmmmmmm
Sorry Steve. I agree with Brandon and Rick that something looks very suspicious about this whole story. Roger spent a lot of time explaining his opinion about the Michael Jackson items in question and he was basically ignored by people who asked him for his opinion. Have you been in contact with anyone in the UK regarding this story? It hasn't gone away regardless of how much some people wish to simply sweep it under the carpet. Please see if you can find out what has happened to the items in question. I am particularly interested to know if they have been removed from the marketplace to the best of their ability or if they are standing by the authenticity of the items based on their own findings. Thanks.
Mike,
I agree with you about how horribly AFTAL has handled this, and how suspicious it looks. And as I mentioned this early this morning, certain AFTAL dealers are still selling this material, but more discretely. You won't find it on their websites.
What I objected to was the way Brandon characterized Garry King, and what he accused him of...even though he phrased some of the accusations as questions.
Hi Steve
Im shocked but not suprised at this, lets be honest would you sell anything Jackson signed at this moment ?
Your saying that AFTAL dealers are offering them discretly ?
So if they are that sure they are 100% Genuine why are they not selling them openly ?
Its all strange and rather alarming
As I have said they are deluding themselves if they do not think with what has been raised that they can sell these without repercussions
Hav
Gary,
One member here was emailed two Adrian MJs from an AFTAL dealer that happens to be one that threatened you.
