On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.
Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.
Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.
If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/
Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks Steve, I figured they were some of the "targeted" images. I've arranged them all into a 15MB jpeg. Hope the file will transfer to you alright. I'll try and send it to you now.
I got no sleep last night, lol. Got started and I couldn't stop. Thanks again.
Well since it was me that said that the recent uploads don't look like classic Bush "to me", I decided to add photos so you could see why (maybe you still don't see it, and that's fine). I do find this comment insulting though, because it tends to state that "we" as in "all of us" need to take the same opinion as you, and I'm sorry, I don't on these recent items. They look different "to me" :)

That sure looks like the "Love" attributed to Bush, doesn't it?
It really does. So could the N loop (although it's a bit more narrow, more in keeping with the Thriller jacket sig, and the starburst is not as clunky). Yet the whole signature overall resembles the Thriller jacket signature style. I'm starting to see the variation in the J now, too. But the Love looks like the Love NOT from the Thriller jacket sig style.
The Love looks like the Love looks like the Love ...
Justin or anyone that was around Michael for signatures personally. Did Michael ever explain why he would sometimes sign his signatures with 1998 and an arrow with 3 dots by it? I was looking at sigs that have that same 1998 arrow 3 dot thing and it fascinates me. I looked it up online sand there's a few diff theories.... figured maybe one of you knew since you did get close with him.
Sandy,
I heard the same story from others who knew Michael very well. Your story does hold strong as compared to Bush-wacker.
Here's a site with some more explanations that tie into yours and then some lol :) http://lilwendy.wordpress.com/2010/03/03/www-thisisalsoit-com-dange...
I think your story makes perfect sense. Michael had a reason for everything he did. He was very symbolic. Thats another thing that bothers me about Bush- he says all these things are just random, like 777 and the arm band. Maybe Michael told "Him" that because he didnt want to include him in the real reasons. The three dots would seem to me to mean and more through the years, representing starting in 98 and keep going. he wanted lots of children.
Thought I would share this. This video shows the red/black shirt with the signed matching sketch next to it that we brought up earlier, with both Bush and Tompkins in the video, from August 2010. It also has MJ's 1998 arrow (except it has more than 3 dots in that sketch, it has 5) http://youtu.be/dayFFcT1JbE (go to 1:05 in the youtube vid) Here is another (diff) vid of it, that shows more close up images. http://youtu.be/n0QXVnpByes Just thought it was interesting that it goes back to Aug 2010 with both Bush and Tompkins. (this sig style is similar in style to the one he uses on his garment table for promo pics).
BTW did he sell any of this merch in any of the auctions that anyone remembers?
Oh and here is another pic, that can be zoomed in on for the sig. http://autryvoices.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/mj-merchandise-03651...
