Is this Presentation & autograph by Marlon Brando in his 1994 Autobiography real?

Just a few weeks ago I went to an L.A. area swapmeet and bought a few books from a swapmeeter.  One of them was "Brando; Songs My Mother Taught Me" a 1994 autobiography by Marlon Brando & Robert Lindsey.  I had already bought the book for next to nothing when leaving I noticed a lengthy penned presentation inscription reading "8/26/94"  -  "Hello Bill- This is the Mish-Mosh of my life!!  I'm fat and Balding but "WOW" What a life! early on??? You should have warmed me!!!  Your Buddy Marlon".

I went back and asked the seller where he got all his stuff - there were many boxes...he said he had just gotten it at an L.A. storage unit sale.

I have very, very little into this...so if it's not real no big shakes (great book thought!) IF it's real what am I looking at.

I'm a newbie, and buy books to read them.

And no, I don't know who "Bill" is.

Not even close to being an authentic Marlon Brando inscription/signature....

"...I am an autograph collector myself and can say it LOOKS authentic...and the kind of "one off" note is very much typical of Mr. Brando." John Hickey, Heritage Auctions (email reply received 01/10/13) re "Brando" signed and inscribed autobiography.

In the spring of 1966, I was sitting in the Independence House Restaurant in Libertyville, Illinois. The restaurant had been in existence for many years prior to that and was a local favorite eatery. I was with two friends, sitting in a booth talking. Suddenly, my friend John says “Hey Marlon Brando is walking in the door”. I turned around to look and was stunned to see Brando walking towards us.

We couldn’t help but say something to him, so we said hi and he actually sat down, straight across from me in our booth! He had gone to high school in Libertyville and was in town visiting. Actually, he was expelled from Libertyville High School. Oddly, the next year (1967), I too was expelled from Libertyville High School. He talked with us for about ten minutes. We asked for autographs and I grabbed a couple of Independence House business cards. He signed both.

Marlon Brando, to us, was a hero rebel. He was one of the inspirations that lead me to over 40 years of riding motorcycles. Although, I don’t consider myself a “Wild One”. I've enjoyed his movies even more over the years as a result of our brief interaction. He was as cool as he is on screen, yet not full of himself. Great guy, great experience!!

I recently had the signature/s authenticated. I know what it looks like! I think I added a photo.of the cards.

Great story.  I watched On the Waterfront on TCM again last night and in my opinion Marlon Brando had the greatest screen presence in the history of motion pictures.  Congratulations on your autographs.

Yes, folks, they are authenticated  As you can see the autographs are very prominent and pristine. Read his autobio on Wikepedia. The guy was above all in acting.
