Paid for the PSA quick peek and it came back "Likely not authentic" but they don't say why they think that.

Thanks, I will definitely let you know. Can you send me your information in a private message? Thanks.
Looks like Dave & Adam's found out about Gridiron's stuff.
They left some negative feedback for Gridiron on Ebay as did someone who bought a Marino mini that PSA/DNA determined as fake.
I think its only a matter of time for them.
Interesting, on their Gridiron_Authentics account, they have a negative two days ago for a fake Bart Starr helmet, and it still says 100% positive feedback for them. How does that happen?
percentages possibly. They may have so many positives that even the negative still keeps them at 100% as ebay rounds #'s. In other words, if there feedback is 99.96 it would round to 100. If it were 99.94 it would be 99.9.
Just noticed in one of their neutral feedback comments, buyer said ink transferred from ball to bag. Sounds like it was freshly "signed".
That is what happened to both Staubach balls I got from them. I even specified not to use a plastic bag because of the heat here and told them what would happen, of course, they didn't listen. This was before I realized that they were fake.
Well, add me to the list of defrauded customers, I got a Drew Brees Autographed Authentic Full Size Helmet from them, the signature was clean, I mean super clean, and not using the typical thicker sharpie Brees stuff usually comes done in. I checked them out before purchasing, as this was in May of 2012, and they seemed legitimate at the time. I pulled my GA Brees helmet after growing concerned with the quality, and compared it to both a Mini helmet and a Radtke authenticated and Brees' Hologramed full size LE Helmet and, shocker, the signature is way, WAY off.
The last photo is the helmet in question, its so blatant now that I have compared them it makes me sick! Of course Gridiron will issue me a refund if I send it back, but why bother they wont give me my money back cause they are a bunch of lying thieves and i'll loose the authentic helmet which if I wipe the sig I can still use to be signed later or sell the unsigned helmet and recoup some of my money.
I know many have mentioned it already, but I'm very curious about the connection between this and Celebrity Authentics. I've ordered maybe 4 items from CA, and they've all been fine IMO. But a scandal like this certainly affects how confident I am in future purchases. Has any of this been documented with Celebrity Authentics materials?
The only thing I can think of is a big thread on a Star Wars fansite about their Harrison Ford signing, which went really wrong for send-ins. I also notice that their Harrison Ford "proof" photo is photoshopped. The same Harry signing multiple posters. That doesn't necessarily mean fakes, either, though.
How closely related are the two companies? Their logo is almost exactly the same.
Glad you asked that again. I don't think this question should be written off, especially since they have the same corporate office if I recall correctly.
They've also advertised Christian Bale and Daniel Craig private signings for, I swear, YEARS. Nothing doing there, and a non-refundable deposit for these mythical signings.
I would be very concerned. You have a company that has three different names. They are all owned by the same person and have the same address. It is becoming painfully apparent that all of their sports items are fake and they used the same photoshop method of certificate proof. There is no way anybody could convince me that their celebrity offerings are good while everything else they offer is bad.
With Celebrity Authentics, they're actually out on the field now at places like NYCC and soforth, hosting the signings. The only signing I saw with photoshopped "proof" was Harry. Otherwise, they tend to get a picture of the celebrity with each shot they offer. I will say the Gridioron "proof" does not look the same as the sitdown shots they show for the celebrities. Not a conclusion, but just more ideas I'm throwing out there.
For example, they're collecting for Alicia SIlverstone and Val Kilmer signings in Feb right now. Is there evidence to suggest they'll be staged? Chances are there will be the bunches of proof photos, which would mean the only way to get around it would be that they increase their inventory after these signings happen. But in those cases, there would be obvious inconsistencies. I haven't seen that with any celebrity items they've offered yet. This is something to keep an eye on.
Here is the problem. Most times on Ebay, they show a photo of a legit item, but send out a fake. Just because they are seen at these celebrity signings does not mean that is what they are sending out when they sell an item. They may be seen and make a few purchases for appearances sake only. We really have no idea what they are doing behind closed doors.
