Hi guys, Could someone please tell me if they have heard of Global Authentics or The Academy Of Manuscript?

I could be buying a very expensive item that staes that it has been dually authenticated by both companies and I would really appreciate any feedback people have before I buy the item.

Many thanks

Brendan

Hi Steve
I'm not sure of your business as I have not heard of it before sorry to sound rude but is it the same company as GAI or there authentication arm anyway?
Thanks

No it is not AC. That company and everything about them closed up in 2009. Their owner's assets blew up with the financial market meltdown and he closed all of his businesses down owing millions of dollars to lots of entities.

Thanks for clearing that up as I was not aware. The only reason I asked was I want to discuss the Muhammad Ali autopens (using a fake signature sample) that GAI (the other global) have authenticated as been real hand signed signatures.

Hello everyone,  I am new to the autograph scene, so here it goes.  Can anyone tell me if the Academy of Manuscript and Autograph (AMA) is okay to use.  Why would ebay not allow authentications from AMA if they are not part of the banned list?  The reason for asking, I have a Babe Ruth signed baseball I received many years ago from my Grandfather, in other words I was 18 and he was in his 70's, now I'm 47 years old.  I was referred to send the ball to AMA for Authentication and Grading.  It came back as Real and received a grade of 8.  I wasn't to good on sending my ball away.  Since then I have sent for letter of opinion to other sites.  I am told by everyone besides AMA it is real, except for PSA, they say it is not real but CAN'T tell me why!  Who am I to believe.

Thank you,

Vince

id say post it here. for opinions but in most cases psa is the more credible authenticator

It should be judged on the signature, so please post it and you will get some credible opinions.

Just curious... who recommended you send it to AMA?

A friend of mine, he told me that AMA is registered with the UACC which I noticed PSA/DNA is not.

I am on the UACC Board of Directors and I can assure you AMA is NOT endorsed by the UACC or a UACC Registered Dealer.

I would take PSA ove AMA 100% of the time. i assume the problem is the autograph being either fake or secretarial not the COA. Go ahead and post a picture.
