This set looks good to me, but I'd be interested to hear your views on them.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I think the forger has tried to make them appear as a late 63/early 64 set with the "xxx's" under ringo's name however as you have rightly noticed the lennon is in a 65 style, the other 3 are not.

changing subject... has anyone heard of c.t.s consortium from Hawaii ???

I have not heard of the consortium you mention but I have obtained some more information on the autograph set that you have been discussing. The auctioneer (W&H Peacock in Bedford, UK) tells me that they are on some kind of anti-grease paper which is quite thick. The autographs themselves cover an area of 7" x 3.5". I attach the clearer photos he sent me. They go under the hammer today but given the discussion above I will not be bidding.

Thanks for the pics. Do you know how much it ended up selling for?

£1,600 - I think before buyer's premium. This was just shy of the lower estimate so I presume the consensus was that it was not real - or at least there were sufficient doubts to stop it rising to "normal" levels.

Thanks. That's still obviously quite a bit of money. It isn't exactly the nicest set of Beatles autographs, which probably played a part in keeping the price down a bit. I still think that it's real, though.
