I feel compelled to ask this question as a result of a comment made in another discussion.  Does it concern you that PSA receives stacks of autographs to authenticate from high-volume dealers?  If I was to send an autograph to PSA or any other third-party authenticator would it have the same chance of passing as it would if I were a high-volume dealer sending stacks of autographs on a regular basis?

I wish id have gotten a refund...your lucky. No credit no nothing. Jsa has for me on several occasions when the item has been close, but not enough evidence to be 100% that said too I have no idea how ANYBODY could authenticate a Pacino...

Here is one issue I have with PSA - I  spent $150 to get an Elvis authenticated and just then to just get a simple form letter that it was not authenticated.  And that was after their Elvis expert (Rich) said it was real.  I understand the person who looked at it said it was not real in their opinion.... but for $150 I deserve at the least a reason why - what was the problem or red flag that they did not like about it.  Wasn't that what I was paying for??  When I asked the owner, Joe Orlando, why didnt they go the extra mile and use Rich, their Elvis expert.  He informed me he was just an outside consultant and did not want to use him or feel the need.  The autograph did Rogers certificate and I trust him more than anyone on music graphs!

Seems like their prime focus is raking in cash as agressively as possible with as little actual work as they can get away with.

sounds like our Government.

Sounds to me like restraint of trade...

My experience with them was I had seen an autograph online that was authenticated by them and mine was identical to this one even the same picture.

I mean identical as in the signature was exact but in different spots on the photo's. Now I mailed mine in with several other photos and this one came back as not authentic and or secretarial.

So I emailed them a picture of the one that had their authentication and mine side by side and they just blew me off. So i haven't sent anything else to them since.

Was your autographed item signed in person?

No and I never stated that it was signed in person. Even though I do get probably more than 70 percent of my items signed in person this one was not. I tried the TTM stuff and that is just frustrating to deal with so I stopped.

Thanks for sharing Chris.

Its funny how when this site started you would be boiled in oil for saying something bad about the people that those bad guys on the other sites were saying are bad? Now its routine to question them as all their mistakes have come out in the open and they do not respond!

Everyone makes mistakes Lou.  My concern isn't as much about mistakes as it is about practices.

Yes everyone does make mistakes. But I also question even the best of them mainly for that reason. I like a reason for something not a standard it's not real. I want to know why they think that and just give me a reason I really don't like the stnadardized answers they want to goive everyone with no explinatiuonafter taking the money to check the autograph I paid them to check I think for my money I deserve an explination.
