no I was convinced this was genuine before the thread and came here because I want to find out for sure because I don't want to sell a fake. A potential buyer who almost bought said he had an opinion that it could be 70% fake so I came here for advice. Thanks everyone for your opinion.

If its fake, there's a guy named John Massetti who wanted to buy it back from you (wink) - get your refund while you can!

Hi Washer, I am glad you are enjoying my discussion & thanks for your opinion. I closed discussion because as discussed, I am researching more and am too busy to keep answering everyones comments until I have more info and thought as its my discussion, I can add and remove things. There is no conspiracy that it is called funfunfun. Grant did this for me and has been very helpful & titled this because he finds autographing collecting fun. Yes, he was offering a different point of view and has not totally ruled out my piece and we are all enjoying studying this, fake or genuine.

sorry got your name wrong..too busy too notice. I will keep you updated. Also appreciate everyones concern that I am going to sell this despite doubts raised. This is not the case because i will not rip anyone off intentionally. All fors and against, including this forum, are kept with the piece, wherever it goes. I am actually glad I found out concerns now and took off the market immediately once potential buyer on ebay said it could be fake. Thanks everyone for your opinions.

I should also add Sean, that while i recommended Grants study and that you should seek it out, i do not, nor would many if any here, recommend grant as a necessarily reliable person. He has been a member on this site before, in fact several different times, under numerous names. And probably has one right now as we speak. He is banned from this site, under any name, b/c of his behavior.

He tried to discredit Roger Epperson and others, but never produced nor proved a thing. Not only that, but in order to try and stir trouble up more, his remarks were in the form of limericks and riddles, and smart comments. Literally. It was for this behavior that he was banned. But before banning he was given many warnings, and swore up and down that he would never go to autograph news live. He acknowledged the type of people who ran that site and swore to never go their. You should look up those threads to see some of the things that went on. He deleted all his comments, but you can tell by the responses they got what kind of crap he pulled.

Then low and behold, grant immediately went straight to Autograph News Live. The site he swore he would never go too b/c of its members motives. And low and behold he soon became a star member. He was promoted as being the resident Hendrix expert. Not only that but also an autograph authentication expert, which he absolutely isnt. He tried to show his knowledge to Roger by telling Roger he didnt know Elvis. And it was soon shown that it was grant who didnt know Elvis. Now he is their star member. Funny how you go from never goin their b/c of what they do, to being their star member. Roger and Steve recently also saw where grant was offering a Hendrix for sale on ebay. Their opinion: an amateur forgery. You can ask Steve or Roger about that, and its in one of the threads on here.

Despite that offer from him, i still do think he knows Hendrix well, which is why i recommended his study. It has some great info. But i urge you at all costs to be careful as to buying into what he may or may not say. I would utilize his study, but not him. He wants to get back at Roger and this site, make no mistake about that.

So agian, i urge you to take advantage of and learn from the study, not him. Their is a reason he was banned from here, and that he took refuge on autograph news live. And their is a reason why he keeps coming back time and time again, knowing he his banned, always with some Hendrix autograph that is no good, and always trying to cause trouble.

I would most definetly search this site to see what i am talking about in regards to this.

I don't want to get involved. I'm actually too busy to go searching around for gossip on this site plus I don't care about what went down. This is supposed to be an autograph forum for people interested in autograph collecting, not gossip about past or present members. Stuff like this takes the fun out of autograph collecting. I'm just here for an opinion on my autograph and to learn a bit. Grant has been very helpful and has offered some great advice.

The only two Hendrix autographs we've seen Grant Van de Streek offer on eBay were obvious forgeries, at least one of which sold for something like $500...whereas real Hendrix autographs rarely sell for less than the mid-teens these days unless they are poor quality. (That's clearly why he has attacked Epperson, RRAuction and this site: so forgery sellers can continue to try to get away with it.) So please keep that in mind before offering yours for sale again, if you don't want to hurt a collector.
