I've seen quite a few of these lately, just ugly forgeries that aren't even close to the real deal.

That is precisely why most forgers use the $2 "League Ball" from Walmart, such as "The Auto Scouts" in my other posts.

They have a hard enough time policing banned COA's showing up on eBay, banning a specific ball type would be hard. Plus, the majority of autographs on eBay are current stars, who theoretically could sign a $2 ball made yesterday. 

Even if they did ban the $2 Walmart ball, the scammers would just not mention the type of ball or show a picture of the back.
