A little unethical for the seller to even list the ball as a "Maris signed" if it failed authentication. Im sure some of the bidders didn't realize it had failed.
I saw it as well. What are the odds of that Maris failing and the Mantle passing. I mean the ball really didnt fetch a true mantle maris price so I just dont know what would drive someone to forge the Maris on a perfectly good Mantle ball.
But look on the bright side, all those ppl who bash on JSA or PSA for passing everything or not doing a good job. I mean they passed on and not the other which means they have to be paying attention.
We've already exposed a thousand times the number of Ebay wannabe autograph collectors who buy forgeries, but we have failed to mention the thousands of Ebay buyers who fail to read the entire auction description.
But I do find the title description by Ebay seller Bulpencards very misleading.....
