Calling All Boris Karloff Experts

 

  Anyone with a solid expertise with Boris Karloff, take a look at this photo.   I have collected his autograph for over 25 years.  Also I sent to someone I consider the  credible expert on Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi.   But just curious to hear opinions here.

I've actually just been consigned one of the most outstanding collections of vintage signed horror signed portraits I've ever encountered, including autographed bust shots of Edward Van Sloan and Rondo Hatton.  I'm contemplating how to best offer out the easy-to-sell material: Lugosi as Dracula, March as Mr. Hyde, Chaney Jr. as the Wolf Man, etc.  Interestingly, Karloff as The Monster is the only key piece that's missing!

I have been collecting horror autographs for 30 years or so and I have obtained about everyone - and I have owned many of Karloff, the Chaneys, Lugosi, Atwill, Frye, Clive, Zucco, Carradine et al. I feel the Karloff seen here is a good one - well, a great one and about the finest I have seen. Superb still and, for me, a perfectly characteristic signature. A gorgeous item with all the detail characteristics of Mr. Karloff's hand. A beaut!

Mae Clark

That signed photo of the Frankenstein monster is incredible, congrats to the owner!

It's hard to figure out what you have there, and it looks like it has been covered with tape or plastic. It also looks like the autograph is on a certificate of authenticity, which normally would be a reproduction. Please upload more images.

boris somebody looked at it in 2005 gave me cert lon chaney I laminated it because was fragile no cert on chaney
