Is "American Authentication Company" reliable? U2 autographs photos authenticated by it....

Hi everyone,

This is my first time here. Good to join

I'm interested in purchasing a U2 signed photo and I keep seeing sellers (mostly at iOffer) providing a COA of a company by the name of "American Authentication" (www.americanauthentication.com). I've never heard of this company and when trying to Google them, other than their website I cannot find any other information on them.

Does anyone have info on them?

Much appreciated

Dan

If you can't find any information about a company it is not a good sign. If you like, you can post one of the photos that you have been looking here for an evaluation. Just to see if the autographs are good or not. There is a few people here that knows U2 autographs very well.

I'm attaching them. Thanks

Neither of these are authentic. So I guess that will answer your question about the company.

This is a genuine set that I got in person, with Larry's short and full signature.

U2

Clayton and Mullen

Thank you for the quick reply...you saved me some dollars..:)

Always happy to help!

Yep, that's about as fake as it gets short of spelling everyone's name completely wrong.  Whoever forged that really didn't even try.

It's a free website and their phone number belongs to an industrial company in California. Does not look legit.

As difficult as it is to find authentic full-band signed U2 items on Ebay, it's pretty much impossible on ioffer, which is a haven for forgery sellers of all sorts.

I see it's listed at $350 (even though it's worthless trash).  The past few years, it's been increasingly difficult to find a full band signed flat for under $1000, unless quality/condition is a major factor.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Can I kindly ask your great expertise once more with this one (was oferre me by  dealer)?

No no, waaaay off on all of the sigs.  Not as bad as the other one, but still really bad.

Does it have to be an LP, or are you looking for anything authentic signed by the whole band.

I have suggested to some fans and collectors to seek out Bono/Edge or even Bono/Edge/Clayton items to keep costs under control.  The problem with full band items is that Mullen is a virtual non-signer now, whereas the other three are quite fan friendly (Bono and Edge being the most accessible of the group).
