Who wishes people like Christopher Williams would think before he types!

Some people just think they are god, that they know all, well guess what buddy you apparently don't know much! But hey, keep working on it and one day you might be able to actually help someone

the hell with the autograph, I wouldn't mind being her left hand for a few minutes!

Were you there when this was signed? This is yours isn't it?

We all recognize that worthless COA from "Autographed Legends, LLC."

The "Autographed Legends" COA is directly associated with the following worthless COAs; Nicholas Burczyk, Myst-O-Graph, MFP Reborn, YMC Sports, My Favorite Players, etc.

COA was all I needed to see. LMAO

Exactly, Rick.  Home of the "Florida" forgeries.

I have a Joe Montana, what about it!?..let me guess, fake...

Let's see it. Might be real.

I truly hope that you just are ignorant to this forgery Jeremy. But not knowing Mantle's autograph is no excuse to come out shooting at the collectors who expose forgeries to try and protect the community. Its your job to ensure authenticity, and as a fellow collector you would know that. A simple google search of Mickey Mantle forgery/ GAI woudl reveal all the info you could ever want.

A little research would also reveal, that the guy who you are criticizing, Christopher Williams, is probably the most knowledgeable Mantle and Jeter expert in the world, definetly in the USA. If you doubt that, do some research on him, and his signature studies into these men. He can spot Mantle and Jeter forgeries quicker than most people can clap there hands. So he is anything but an amateur.

I just hope you will refund all costs to any potential buyer on this item, b/c it will come back a forgery from any respected authenticator. And i dont see how you spoke to Mike Baker, b/c to my knowledge he isnt on the GA staff. As others have tried to tell you, GA and GAI are different companies, although in my opinion there is little difference. Steve Sipe is the current owner, and if you called GA you would have talked with him and not Baker. But who knows, maybe you did get ahold of Baker, but you should do some research on the old GAI and Mike Baker before listing your item.

You know, i think Chris Williams also gives a guarantee in situations like this. Something like, if you take the item down, send it in to JSA or PSA and they pass it, he will pay your authentication cost and buy it from you for 1000 dollars. Or i think thats what he normally tells people who have these obvious forgeries. Pretty good deal huh. Id jump on it if i were you if you truly believe this is authentic.

And 87.5 percent feedback isnt exactly good ratings

Well written, Carl, and thank you.

All we all want to do here, is do our best to eradicate this crap!!!!

I truly believed it to be authentic, I valued it as if it were, again, I mean no disrespect, it just really got to me when I get messages from people asking if I am a scammer based on Christopher Williams's article. I'm just saying, if I were the best in the world at something, I'd be a little more humbled and not just blast people like they are on a mission to screw other ppl over. I mean, obviously he searches eBay for this kind of stuff, but instead of sending me message and saying "hey this is whats up, just so you know", instead he blogs about it over the internet..whatever

Jeremy, in a perfect world, that would be the correct approach. but what happens more often than not, is that we get a snippy answer back. so most of the time, if we try to alert the seller, it is a waste of time.

Ditto, Terrier.
