I had sent in this vintage ball to be signed by Yogi Berra, and they stupidly put their sticker on the ball.  I'm wondering if there are any techniques that can safely remove the sticker without leaving damage or residue.  On the ball, the sticker is a little bumpy in the middle, so maybe if I could grab it with a tweezer and gently take it off, it would be good but I don't want to attempt anything just yet.  If anyone has any recommendations, I greatly appreciate the help!

I will definitely try to purchase this mud!  I'd feel more comfortable than using the dirt from my yard.

Can you share a pic of what it looks like now? Curious to see how white the spot is.

here are some scans after sticker removal:

There was a bit of a glare from the light.

Before I sent it to Yogi:

Wow... that is much more dramatic than I anticipated. Is the white residue from the sticker or did it actually lift surface dirt off the ball? I would have thought an old ball like this is toned throughout the leather... not just on the surface that could be lifted off. ???

Maybe the sticker "protected" the area of leather directly under the toning???

But the sticker was only on for a short period. And it was toned before the sticker was applied.

The Sticker lifted the surface dirt from the ball. The sticker, when I peeled it off, had brown dirt on the back after it was removed.
Also, the sticker was on since around this past August. I was told to wait for the glue strength to subside a bit

how long was the sticker on the ball?

I am going to order the Lena Blackburne mud as mentioned by Ryan Maxwell and I will post a picture once I apply it.  A small amount should suffice.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to apply it. I have to rub about 8-10 dozen baseballs per game.
Thanks Ryan I certainly will let you know! I Appreciate the help
