Multiply signatures on an item

So another one I have difficulty with you have items lets say on ebay, a guitar with many, many signatures on them. They virtually never have a COA, if that even means much to start with, how do you validate the signatures. First read the story, ask the questions when and where signed, lets say they have concert tickets for most of the artists, that doesn't really mean they actually saw them. So what do you do then?

Hi Daniel,

Welcome to the forum. 

Where is the item listed for sale so we can read the "story" and possibly see larger photos.

Many members on the forum study specific autographs and learn to spot the details and signing styles of specific artists.

If you label your discussion with the artist (as you did with the Jackson), those that study those sigs will spot your discussion easier.  Roger Epperson is probably the best on music.  You can find him here or by emailing him at his website if you find something you'd like to purchase and want his opinion.  http://rogerepperson.com/  If there is a good amt of money being spent on an item (music), I'd definitely have Roger look at it *he charges a fee, as this is his profession.

As far as COA's, they are only as good as the person who wrote them out, so it depends on where its from.  I could make you a COA right now on my computer if that tells you anything.  Proof photos are only good if you see the exact item and signature in the photo with the signer, and even then, there are people who are very good at photoshop.  

Its pretty easy to get "taken" in this hobby/industry, so getting the opinion of those who do study the autographs is important until you learn the signing styles of the person you are looking to buy.
