Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

thanks.

The eBay seller said that you're entitled to your opinion, but the photo was signed in front of him.

He is right, I am entitled to my opinion and I have a very educated opinion.  I have heard every story in the book.  Let me ask you this Ballroom, would you buy that photo from the Ebay seller if you were a JLL collector?

You know that I respect your opinion and have no doubt that you have heard every story in the book. However, how many of those false stories were from people who had nothing to gain and simply could have avoided you? If he had something to hide, why not just avoid me altogether? I’ve been a collector of music memorabilia for quite some time and have been ripped off in the past, as we all have. I certainly have my guard up. After a fairly lengthy correspondence, the guy seems completely genuine to me. I’d buy the photo from him.

Thanks for your honest reply. Btw he did have something to gain, money as he's selling it.

True, but keep in mind that it was already sold and he had received positive feedback prior to my having posted the pic here.

I found the above on eBay certed by PSA and they are the signature variant some on here have deemed secretarial. Sorry I couldn't just post the images. I'm in an iPad and don't know how to do it. Does this change anyone's mind?

Nope.. does not change my mind at all.  PSA got it wrong and need to read this thread.  Proof is seeing my "NEW" ones I got just got back and seeing the ones you got Chad.

Mark

Chad, I'd like to be optimistic, but these look even worse than the TTMs seen earlier, esp the last one.  very bad attempt.   Bottom line - Has there evern been a genuine JLL signature with a squiggly line underneath?  I'm not sure there has.

Steve Viola,

On page 14 there are genuine signatures I received that have a bit of a squiggly line underneath. They are nowhere near as pronounced as the questionable ttms I and others have received.

I’ve noticed that he sometimes separates the “R” from the “Y” and at other times the end of the “R” doubles as the beginning of the “Y”. The signatures on the eBay photo and “By Request” LP, which appear very similar and are supposed to be secretarials, follow this same pattern. Only the LP signature has the “R” separate from the “Y”. I’ve also noticed that he sometimes forms the “E” in a way that makes it appear pointed at the top. However, it isn’t always the same “E” or “E”s that appear this way. Again, the signatures on these two items appear to follow this pattern. The one on the photo shows a rounded second “E” in “Lee”, while the signature on the LP has a pointed one. What do you make of that?

ballroom, what are you saying?
