When were Metallic Markers created

Have a pic from the 90's I am looking at signed in silver.. by A Golden Age movie star..

 

Were Silver paint pens out in the 90's and being used?

paint markers been around for many years....I have been using them since the late 80's on art projects

I was also using them in the late 80's for NASCAR autographs. They were the type that were thick and took a ton of shaking. After 20 years, the silver and gold still shines.

When I started collecting autographs 1984, I was using silver or gold pens. So they have been around for a while.

I have an autographed album which I expect was signed 1977~1979. Is it possible gold markers were around then?
