Hi Folks -

I got these autographs in person in 1978 of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, with the exception of Max Weinberg.  It's on plain white paper with a little bit of staining. The ticket stub has a bit more of a stain under it due to a small piece of tape.  I'd like opinions on the value of this if I was to sell it.  Also, how much drop in value is there because I do not have Max's signature?  Also am interested in if there is any reason to wait & sell it when something is going on with Springsteen, either an album release or a tour?  Thanks !

Nice piece but is the ticket stub taped  to the autograph page?  Slight drop in value not having Max but not too much. The "To Craig" does affect the value though.  Springsteen will always be in fashion -- whether he tours or not. Maybe a $300 value on this via Ebay.

Oh, I would say $300 is an all too low estimate.. Let me remind that a full-band picture with sigs from 78 went for over $7500 on RRAuction just one year ago. Of course, this is a papersheet, and Max is missing, don`t know if the ticket stub will have anything to say. Springsteens sig alone from 78 would command a lot more than $300 on a papersheet. I would at least expect it will be worth over $1000, maybe more depending on the items condidtion. (Not able to jugde that from this picture)

Yep $300 is a bit low ; - but I don't think it will go as high as $1,000 altho you never know on ebay.  I really like the ticket stub. It gives it provenance.

And I forgot..I would say about the value,  it has absolute nothing to say if he tours or not. Sometimes a lot of autographs from an ongoing tour pops up on Ebay when a tour is on, but that will have nothing to say for the value of an older, vintage autograph.

Thanks for everyone's opinions.  At least I didn't make the mistake of having lined notebook paper.  Thanks for your comment about the ticket, I think it will always stay right there.  Many people are more interested in seeing the $7.50 concert ticket than the signatures !

It`s a really cool item, funny to see that Danny Federici signed as "Phantom", never seen that before. (He was called that after an episode in Bruce`s 69-70 band "Steel Mill", where a riot started during a concert, and Federici escaped the police in a very "phantomic" way...hehe)

Yep.  Give us a shout when it goes up on ebay for those not in usa.  Hopefully you are not in the wretched global shipping programme

Yes. agree, keep us updated about your plans for this piece. It is very interesting, and I think there will be a huge interest if it is put out for sale sometime in the future.

yes me   too .  I think it is really interesting as well ; but I just hope it goes to a fan instead of a dealer .  I hate it when that happens because if it goes to a fan at least you know they will appreciate it but when it goes to a dealer they just hike the price up and put in immediately up on ebay.  There was a Springsteen piece a while back with an unbelievable mark up price and it actually sold.

Three or four years ago I put it on ebay for a week at $400.  Nobody bid.  I even included photos that I took at that show & other shows during the tour.  I'm guessing that during a slow economy no one wanted to bid.  That is why I am considering selling it now.  Thanks to all for your comments & I will let you know if I put it on the market.

I know it should really not be necessary, but you may consider getting it authenticated? We all see and know this is the real deal, but somehow the uninformed bidders at especially Ebay, tend to wake up if they see some kind of COA/LOA etc...hehe. I do really not like this tendency, but unfortunately it has become a reality out there...

Hmmm...That's a good suggestion, I may do that.  Thanks -
