Hello everybody!!

I absolutly love when members here at AML post examples of beautiful autographs that they have in their collection. So I thought I should start a thread where everyone who wants, can post a photo of their favorite autograph and maybe write some info about why you especially like this one!

Hopefully some members will chip in!! :-)

Ok, I´ll start:

My favorite autograph is a 10x8 photo signed by Bruce Springsteen and Little Steven, Max Weinberg, Roy Bittan, Clarence Clemons & Gary Tallent from The E Street Band:

I wanted this so bad when I first saw it, because I´m a huge fan of Springsteen. But unfortunally me economy usually sucks, so it took me a long time to save up enough money to buy it. And every day that went by, I were worried that someone else would buy it before me. So when I finally bought it, I were extremely happy!!! :-)

Someone else??

PS. Sorry if this has been done recently, but I can´t remember seeing a simular thread. I know that there is a thread about the rarest autograph, but that´s not the same thing... :-)

The greatest song writers of all time

Thanks for sharing Paul! Looks really good!!

Also really expensive! Class act.

Way cool! Do you know if this on an American or UK White Album?

Hi Adam its the us white signed in 70s

Well, I've told this story a few times elsewhere, but it apparently needs repeating, so here goes... :)

Around 2007 or so, I was blessed enough to meet John Wesley Shipp at his first Dallas-area convention. I'd been a fan of the original "Flash" TV series as a kid, so he was one of my earliest heroes. I waited patiently in line, as he spent a generous amount of time with every fan who came to him. It was a little long, but on the whole, I despise "cattle call" attitudes even more. When my turn arrived, I told him how I'd liked him as the Flash, and also on "Dawson's Creek" and the second "Never-Ending Story" movie. We chatted for a couple of minutes, and he signed the 8x10 below for me. We posed together for a photo, after which I thanked him and prepared to leave the autograph room.

However, I'd walked about halfway to the door when the realization suddenly hit me: I'd forgotten to pay for his autograph. I'm honestly not big on celebs charging at all, but I started to think of how I hate people ripping me off. So, I turned around, got back in the line, and waited again. Seeing me for the second time, he appeared surprised at first. I pulled the money from my pocket, handed it to him, and quietly said, "I think we forgot this part". He asked more than once if I was sure, and I said "yes". He then said to me something I will probably never forget: "You know, most people probably would've walked out that door, but you came back. Thank you; I respect you for that." I remember blushing, thanked him again for his time, and left. To this day, I consider him one of the most kind-hearted celebs I've ever met, and I'd love to see him at another show someday.

Great story Moviefan, thanks for sharing!

Hmmmmm... lots to choose from.. Ummm...

Favourite cast shot... and also I really liked getting this single one done because it's such an unlikely film to get Heston on..

That´s a really nice "The Usual Suspects" photo Timothy!!

I actually know nothing about the signatures, but love the movie!

Maybe some of you newer members have a special autograph (one that you like more than all the rest in your collection) that you would like to show! If so, please upload a pic in this thread! Older members are of course welcome to post a pic too... :-)

If you browse thru this thread you will see that the members of AML have some truly fantastic autographs so please take your time and have a look!

I personally have a new favorite since I started this thread, So I thought I would show you that one. It´s a 1974 set of Queen autographs with a big and fantastic Freddie Mercury signature that I just love:

But it´s difficult to pick just one, it´s (almost...) like having to choose which one of your children you love the most. So I think I´ll just cheat and post a link to all my favorites if anyone is interested... ;-)

So please let me see your personal favorites! It can be a freebie you got TTM or something you have gotten yourself or something so expensive that you had to eat noodles for a month after you bought it!

And yes, you´re allowed to cheat too and show more than one favorite... ;-)

Thanks for playing!

My absolute favorite from my collection. And Yes, I am still eating noodles.

I think I must cheat and show my current favoriteS.  My love for Blues/Rock and being a Brit means these 2 are favorites of mine:

Firstly my favorite artist of all time Eric Clapton.  A rare mid/late 60s signature on a seminal Blues/Rock album, there aren't many of these around with contemporary signatures on:

Next the Rock Gods that are Led Zeppelin.  A very late 60s/very early 70s set of signatures on one of their best albums (especially for a Blues/Rocker):

My Love of Clapton and Blues/Rock sent me down a path of going back to the original Blues artists.  There are many favorites in my Blues collection, but I'll put these as my top 3 (in no particular order):

Firstly Billie Holiday.  From the research done, by myself and others, this is almost certainly the last autograph she ever gave:

Next is Huddie "Lead Belly" Ledbetter, a pioneer and influence on so many musicians (Dylan, Nirvana to name 2):

Finally is the legendary Son House.  Great to have his signature on this his greatest album:

However I must confess that my favorite autograph in my whole collection is from the wild hellraiser Richard Harris.  It's my favorite as it holds great memories, specifically of many a night drinking in the Coal Hole pub.  In Harris's later life The Coal Hole was his watering hole (due to it's close proximity to The Savoy where he had a room), and I saw him a few times in there.  It's signed on the back of a Coal Hole till receipt which is sadly very faded so the print can only just be made out (it is a receipt for a drink (or two) that we (my future wife and I) purchased for Harris), one of my very few IP autographs:
