Good or a good forgery?  I know Walls of Fame (Billy Smith) does not have the best reputation on this site but all of his stuff can't be bad -- can it?

I agree Mark. Just because you catch a thief and he returns your money you still had to go though the hassle and heartache of being burned or tricked. And what if you sold it to someone else and that person now wants a refund?  That happened to me.  My reputation suffered because I sold a fake Walls of Fame item that at the time I thought was good.

I see what you are writing, and respect your opinion here. But I really do not agree with what someone are saying about Billy Smith and WOF. I have said what I mean here on WOF, and the autograph in question before, I don't see any reason for repeating it. We must just agree that we disagree I guess.

And BTW, I have just the Vini Lopez I showed over here from Billy, and another one I am quite confident is real. But as I am a collector of E Street memorabilia, I will not sell anything of what I have, so nobody should be afraid that they get "on the marked". (The Vini Lopez I posted a pic of Vini actually signing it, so no doubt about that one)

Hey guys.....looking for an authentic Bruce Springsteen signed items? I have 2 that were signed for me in person in 1992 at his plugged/unplugged private taping.Check them out! One is a Born in the USA lp and the other is a Lucky Town cd booklet, both in absolute excellent condition!! Both currently listed on ebay.

Posterguy you waited 4 years to return your items?  (As the last post to this discussion was back in 2014)

More like 20 (!) yrs ago but thats besides the point , I expect my items to be legit otherwise I want my money back......mailed Oct 18 from CA and now I wonder if he plays games with me

"thank you for alerting us to this. I see this a lot unfortunately in the autograph community. Everything on the up & up, then after many years things tend to make a turn for the worse. I know in many cases this is all these people have done for their entire lives and they do not know how to do anything else. They get older or lose the desire to keep up on the latest happenings, the latest in person experiences, they stop questioning items and they completely stop going after in person autographs (if they ever did that). So, then they end up with no inventory and have to turn to the less-desirables of the world to "supply" them with product to make rent"
Dont make excuses for this guy , either he knows what hes selling or he shouldnt *beep* sell in the first place , c'mon here!

Same thing happened to me with a Springsteen item that was on my wall for years, from Billy Smith.  He was professional and accepted the return and refunded my money.

Mark

This Billy Smith? I don't know how professional one can be accepting a return of something like this...

I am not kidding around with forgers anymore  , I am going to FBI today

FBI won't do anything -- they've been contacted 100s of time about forged rock and roll autographs and to my knowledge there has not been one investigation done since Operation Bullpen (Sports Autographs) many years ago.

Or this Billy? Here we have a "signature" which I immediately recognized from the original which is in an ISOLAR card which I saved every image of and sold several to folks here who did not get in at $150. Now they are $400 each!

Let's dismantle this one fully. Here below is the Bowie "signature" from past eBay sales...followed by the original authentic ISOLAR card I recognized that was used as a template and then an overlay showing both together:

And now, both original and copy in overlay.
