Just came across these on eBay. He has three photos signed by the mick. All seem to be a super reasonable price.

I hope I'm not leading people astray...these autos looked good to me. Hopefully his past forgeries were not with malice.
I looked at his past sales and it seems he's sold other authentic mantles in the past month too
They look legit.

I couldn't resist the rookie pose for $138 shipped. :-)

Football Amy just listed two more personalized Mantles at great prices that are no question authentic. Calling all Daniels/Jims:

My Mantle rookie pose arrived today. Beautiful bold signature with no fading whatsoever. Photo is mint.

TV Sports Mailbag 1989 stamp on the back. Every TV Sports Mailbag item I have ever seen has been good. Not familiar with the company, but I assume it was an early private signing company. Anyone have further info?

Only downside is the print is obviously second generation with bits of fuzz in the photo itself... but you see that a lot with stuff from the 80s and 90s. Doesn't seem like they were too concerned with licensing or copyrights and made photographic copies when they needed photos for a signing.

Amazing pick-up at that price... I noticed they lowered one down to $125, fantastic price for a nice bold Mantle.

The seller is at it again. Cheap mantle autos for sale.

Hmmm. I have no problem with the personalized stuff... But this particular one seems to lack any "swiftness"

This one the end looks a tad weird

Here's another non-personalized they have for sale. Extremely fresh looking ink once again. This does come in a plaque that I have seen before, so it's not like these are fresh off of a printer:

I notice what you're saying with swiftness on the first auto. However, Its not uncommon to find a freshly inked looking auto..at least from what I've seen. Really though, I hope my judgement was correct. I would not want anyone to buy a fake auto.

Yeah I am just trying to play devil's advocate as at first glance I had no problem with them. This would have to be a new VERY good forger, who is intentionally buying unsigned old photos/postcards to sign that match the time period, as well as mixing them with no doubt authentic personalized stuff...

I am going to look at these again later when I am not completely paranoid... LOL.

That would not be good. I would never buy another mantle autograph.
