Hello all,

I sent this album to a venue in January of 2014, and just received it back today. I have no idea on the authenticity. It doesn't look like the "typical" Paul signature. I wish I could find more personalization examples to compare to.

Thanks in advance for any input!

I hate it, this was not signed by paul in my opinion. BUT when he does personalize he does it similar in that he does not lift the pen up to form letters. But his wife or tour manager would know this and clearly they do cause that isn't Pauls signature IMO

Have to agree it is not his signature. I tried to get him here last week in NZ and he was not signing at all

Yes, unfort No Good.  Its hard to believe a guy who hardly ever signs IP is honoring free TTM requests.  One of the toughest autographs in the music business to obtain.

I knew it was too good to be true. It just didn't look quite right.

While I have you guys here, can you please check out this Billy Joel I received from a venue a couple weeks ago?

I dont think thats close at all, sorry.

Thanks, Steve. Is that is reference to the Paul Simon, Billy Joel, or both?

Both, sorry

I'm really torn on the Billy Joel. While he rarely signs his full name, here are a couple examples (one from a CharityBuzz.com auction and another from an in-person encounter) that look similar.

Maybe he did at one time, and I apologize for lack of knowledge on that.  I am not an expert on Joel, but have gotten him IP 3 times, first being 1986 and last being about 5 years ago.  None of them were full name sigs like the ones shown here.  Perhaps some Joel experts on here would know more.

I do appreciate your input, Steve. Thank you

I posted this a while ago..   as there are some here familiar with his signature perhaps someone might comment....   I got this from some dealer in the late '70s or early '80s.  What do you think?
