I am just wondering what size of autographed photos most collectors prefer to collect. I prefer to collect 8x10 autographed photos for the purpose of storage, but I have noticed that many sellers are offering 11x14 autographed photos lately. Thanks in advance.

the majority of collectors like 8x10's just because they have been the standard for so long. 11x14's are becoming more popular. As an autograph hound I like to get 11x14's better because they are larger, more space to sign and I can get slight premium for it . And as a fan you get a nice larger image of an iconic photo perhaps. But I find that I can sell ten 8x10's to every one 11x14. There is also the category to consider. With sports the most popular is 8x10 and 16x20, celebs 8x10 and music 8x10 and 11x14. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply N. Steiger. You make some valid points.
I actually like 11x14's. They are getting very cheap to have photos printed and just seem to pop more for me. Yes when framed they are they take up more space... but then they are on the wall.. Man I love them!

How do you store them Mark? That is the one issue that makes me hesitant to purchase them.
Toploaders and a box :)
If you a binder collector you are stuck with 8x10's but if you actually hand them up you just need to store them in larger frames lol
11 X 14 are great for a large and clear signature or if you are getting multiple signatures. I love 11x4, 12 x 16 and 12x18 in size as you can get a whole group or cast to clearly sign. 8x10's are good and easier to store but not as good for multiple signatures.
Great point Dan. I did not even consider that. None of mine are multiple signatures but I would certainly consider using an 11x14 photo for that purpose. I would even prefer it to a poster.
I do mainly celebrity collecting and 8x10 are great for minor stars, character actors, and those people that you don't expect to put on the wall. Binders full of 8x10s fill my house, but if I have the opportunity to get a bigger star or someone that I would want to have framed on the wall 11x14 works....it's big enough to show up from across the room and it doesn't take up too much wall space like a poster or 16x20.
Larger pieces for multiple signers is something I had to learn the hard way after watching people squeeze their autographs onto tiny 8x10s.
all these 8x10 just look jammed.....had I gone with 11x14, it could have been more names and more readable names.
Awesome examples Pete. Thank you so much for the images.
I like multi-signed items, 11x14 is the perfect size to get multiple signatures. As you can see from Pete's awesome collection, 8x10s are too cramped.
Pro tip: Here is an awesome 11x14 portfolio if you are looking for something to store them in - I have a whole bunch of these:

That art portfolio is great. At least now I know how I would store them. Thanks Mike T.
