Tracks authenticate for third partys if you ask them.
I didn't know that. Thanks!
Over the last years I have seen a lot of 90ies George Harrison autographs and those discussions are funny. If you check the autographs in Georges official Genesis Books you will see a lot of differences even in autographs in following numbers. Yes the "r" in George is often written different and on the card in question it is a bit uncommon. But I have also seen several styles of the "G" and I also have seen several sloppy ones ending as "George Harr" or what ever. I also have seen a lot of Cloud Nine albums signed - all authentic - with different styles.
I rate all the autographs shown here as authentic.
I`d like to give you two examples. Both signed on the same day April 6th 1992. One on a large flyer with a thick pen and one on a ticket in thin pen. Both are authentic coming from Tracks or Christes (with confirmation by email from Frank C). As you see - they look totally different.
Harrison is very difficult to authenticate - but on the other hand - not.
It is not - i am afraid for you. comes from Christies 1994 and i double checked it with the expert. It is just to show how different George signed in the 90ies - esp. if you look at the pen he uses
Thorsten, start a new post and ask about it ok, no one will say that is real. Christie's was wrong. It is 100% fake, it's not even a good one.
As you see in this discussion - you get various thoughts on each autograph - so you will not get good answers on my signed page. The paper is 20 x 30 cm large and the autograph 15 cm wide, written with a thick marker pen - you cant compare this with any other autograph in this listing.
As said - i double checked it with one of the experts mentioned in one of the posts here before I bought it from the Beatles fan who originally had it from Christies in 1994...
BTW - look at certain spots in the autograph and you will see that they are identical to the other authentic examples - but written extremly large on my page - esp. in the "Harrison"..
And some more thoughts: I would be as supicious as you if the autograph came up today. But it was auctioned less then 2 years after it was written for an estimated auction price of 100 to 140 UK Pound in March 1994 at Bonhams. The forgery market started years later I can tell you. There really was no need for this kind of stuff. Check the specifics in certain letters and flows and you`ll see that - even this one is at least 4 times larger than the signed ticket from the same day it has the same differences and similarities to all the other authentic samples I have posted here. I have myself 25 years of collecting and checking Beatles and related autographs.
