John Wayne authentic??

I recently bought this and wanted to know what people thought? It has an envelope with it which has John Wayne printed on it. Autograph is slightly smudged...

Not likely authentic IMO. Letter formation looks off compared to authenticated examples.

Based on the return envelope, I would guess it is a secretarial signature sent through the mail to an autograph request.

I am not an expert on Wayne but looking at examplars it just looks way off to me.

Hopefully, others will chime in.

I agree this is not real. Wayne is tough because he used secretarial signatures so much.
