I am not sure what you exactly mean.  I took a picture of the orig print and the orig coa that I have.  Let me know what I need to do.  Thank you so much!
You are so wonderful!  This all just broke my heart to think that I had given my Dad a fake.  I appreciate all your help.  It means so much!

Steve,

I again have to say thank you so much for going the extra mile and showing it to the experts.  It is just so overwhelming what we are going through with the loss of my Dad and my Mom 4 1/2 years ago.  It is like we are ending our childhood and having to do the "grown up" stuff.   We are so so sad just to think that Dad is not walking through that door.  Thanks for listening!  Been a tough time so everything is magnified.

My upmost respect - june

June,

I'm so sorry to hear about what you've been through. I lost my dad when I was a kid--in 1967--so I adapted long ago. But my mom is incredible, and we're all very close, so I have an inkling of what you've been through.

I'm glad to be able to confirm the authenticity of your Mantle. Your dad was a very astute man, and the litho is something you can always be proud of. Display it prominently in your home--under sunlight protective glass, of course!

Was your dad a collector...or major fan? Do you have stories to tell? You can tell them here, and if you use his last name, people who search the internet for him are likely to find the stories...and even some who haven't.

Steve

Better words haven't been said.
Thank you Greg.  That means alot.  I love my Dad and miss him so already.  You all are really helping me.  Thank you - june

Steve,

Thank you so much - I am still numb but trying to get what I am suppose to get done.  I am very sorry for your loss - there is nothing like losing a parent.  I am so so happy you still have your Mom - relish it every single day.  I was lucky enough to be with both my parents when they went to Heaven.  And I always made sure every single day that I said I loved them.  I was so very blessed.

YES - I am lucky now to have the litho as an incredible memory - of the wedding itself which my parents gave me such a beautiful memory and the memory of how my Dad loved it.  I will check on the glass - thank you.  Not sure.

My Dad was a major fan.  His family was HUGE New York sport family.  My Dad and his uncles and cousins all play basketball for St. John's.  But they love ALL sports.  BIG sports family. Our last name is Gotkin - we go way back in sports.  I have learned also that my Dad's uncle was a big scout and all.  They loved sports!  It has been neat to hear more of the stories this week at the wake and the funeral.  It was nice to hear all of that.  Thank you for allowing me to share.  It has put a smile on my face.

You are a great person - june

Excellent stuff here.  I just joined this group and am very glad I did.   Your expertise is invaluable.

June - the problem of open blogs that are unverified is that we have seen so much BS from too many that claim to be one thing and representative of another.  We unfortunately read of other blogs that take discussions from this thread, twist them , spin them and turn them into nothing but smear campaigns.  That has already occured with Cyrkin trying to assist you.... it is regrettable but it is a fact of life that these slimes who live under rocks art attempting to cast your discussion with the same light.

It is what has gone sour with this whole industry!

DB,

Don't let those folks bother you.

it's not I that I worry about it but rather the continued distortions...and the innocent bystanders who have no idea what they are really all about believing any of it.   if you throw enough Jello against the wall even with their contorted spins something is gonna stick.  Sort of like finding the genuine item in Coach's Corner amongst all the non-authentic ones.

I sent my guy the cut only and he looked at it on his cell phone. If you're still concerned I'll send him the entire thing. But other people will comment here if they have input. That's what this site's all about.
