I can't imagine Gary Harvey ever knowingly selling a forgery.
Most COAs don't go into detail, they just say something like "Lifetime guarantee of authenticity to the original purchaser." Does Gary's specify how the guarantee is enforced and if so, have you met those terms?
Pete Chuka is widely considered one of the top two, if not the top, Harrison Ford authentication expert in the world. Steve Grad is the other. If Pete says he is confident in his opinion it isn't real, then I think you should get your money back under the guarantee. And unless the guarantee says you get a credit towards other merchandise and not cash, then you deserve a cash refund.
I would agree. Most autograph dealers don't go running around getting all the signatures they sell by themselves. It does say lifetime guarantee.
Im awaiting a response from him, Ive asked him to exchange for the second Clint Eastwood pictured in this thread, and Ive also asked him if he actually got the Ford signed in person himself. Just want to get this over with, and Ill send the Clint Eastwood to PSA if this exchange happens to clear any doubts and to help in selling the piece if I choose to do so.
If somehow the exchange doesn't go through, I'll try to press for a monetary refund.
Ive had a lot of successful purchases done with autographs both through AML and elsewhere, so I guess this type of situation is bound to happen when purchasing autographs from dealers less known by the general public. Hopefully the last time this happens..
